It actually is, due to the way the PCB displays the score on the scores table.Chaos Phoenixma wrote:I'm surprised it's not higher than that.
Again, I'll let you work out the actual score yourselves. ^_-

From what I've seen and read, this looks like a really great event, wish I was there too.

Re: Wasshoi In Europe (Stunfest 2013)
I missed the first 3 stages of NAK's run, but his first death in stage 5 was rough. It would've been amazing if he managed to reach Spiritual Larsa in a live run like this. I bet he could do it almost every time if he toned down his risk taking a bit. ;_;

Re: Wasshoi In Europe (Stunfest 2013)
loads of pics of crowded packs ! the ambience seemed big
Damdam & Kamui are both technically men if you doubted
english comers should contact parisian shmuppers straight if they can stay few days about the incoming things.. "it seems" tuesday will be the "Arcade street" 2nd chance to view the japanese players again, and the so good arcade (..the now only in europe darius burst chronicles japan version, is there too..)

Inbachi is probably impossible for everyone.
Good event anyway. I'm very glad I got to see NAK, TAC, and Kamui destroy these games live. Wish I could've been there.

I'm not familiar with Garegga, so I can't exactly work out an S score being higher than around 29 million or so if there's some display thing I'm not aware of.
Does anyone actually keep track of the Harder/Extended modes for Garegga? Or does Arcadia ignore those like they're ignored in the score threads here.

the vid clocking at 1h19 is an extended clear, the guy gets a T score, on the scoreboard however it shows up as an M, 7 letters lower, so yea, that S is indeed a Z.
as for arcadia, they only started caring for the hiscores of 3 of the garegga ships since ~2004, so yea, no.
regarding inbachi, one of the frenchies asked tac if anyone over in japan has beaten him since the game came out, to which he responded nope.

KAMUI

Icarus, endokarb, Erhune, Kamui
This one of the times Kamui came round to meet us. She gave Icarus her Extended 2-ALL Z score DVD and was very happy to learn that Icarus and Plasmo are both Garegga players. (Plasmo having beaten KET's superplay score).

Kamui came down and played in front of us. Another I score.

From her first public run.
18 years on Battle Garegga
Incredible WR player and lots of character!
Moar to follow
(sorry about the fuzzy shots)

Re: Wasshoi In Europe (Stunfest 2013)
Phew, those were a great 3 days! The event was amazing and a great succes.
All in all, that was just a great feeling to see so many super nice and easy to talk to shmuppers with a big smile on their faces and that spark in their eyes (when NAK was pulling those 30000 all over the screen again and again for instance)
I'm so glad I got to meet some of you European shmupers ! I hope you had a good time and that we'll see you next year too
This morning I randomly helped 2japanese guys working on understanding those french Sunday morning buses timetables, so one of them asked me if I'm going to Stunfest too, so I tell him I'm going for the shmups, and his face lighted up and he's like, cool, I'm friends with NAK, TAC and Kamui, I'm Koizumi-san, here's my card, I'm organizing Wasshoi in Japan
So we talked about shmups on the bus ride, the community in Europe and that we're incredibly grateful for making Wasshoi in Srunfest happen and that we hope to see more amazing stuff in the future
At the end of his 2nd run, NAK came up and said that he could hear the cheering through his headphones while playing and that it motivated him into pleasing back the crowd
, like Prometheus added, when you hear this kind of stuff what more could you actually expect form an event like that?
I'm glad everything worked out for him and the other ppl that made this a reality, and that their expectations were far exceeded!
I hope to see more of you guys next year and thank you for coming for the ones who did
(Btw, for those I met I'm that french bald guy with the goaty
)

Sounds like the whole event was glorious. If only I'd planned my days around watching the live stream. I did catch a bit of Kamui which was amazing. Really excited to see more footage!
