Nedd Help With Cables

Post by spaceman73 »

Hi, I am just about to buy a XRGB-Mini and I am confused with the cable situation. The 1st console I want to connect is a PC Engine Duo-R RGB modded by doujindance. I have kept the cabling to Euro-Scart (for compatibility with TV/Monitor and other scaler if needed). Now would a cable with Sync Stripper be needed (like this one: http://www.retrogamingcables.co.uk/mico ... ipper.html)?

And what if I want to connect a Modded (50/60HZ) PAL Mega Drive or Master System also RGB with Euro-Scart, could I use the same cable?

Thank you so much for your help, I know this must have been asked before, it's just so hard to go through the whole thread (with 2 children and a limited amount of time).

Just a random thought here - If you're going to get Japanese RGB-21 pinout cables, you might want to wrap a piece of tape around somewhere, with the pinout type (EURO or JAP) written on it. Save you trouble later.

Good idea thanks.
The more I look into this, the more confused I get. I see some cable with booster, some with sync stripper, some without. Hopefully someone can help me out.
