I plan to play consoles on my PVM 2950Q in RGB or YPbPr. I also want to record/stream with RGB or YPbPr to a SC500-N1/PexHDCap while I play. This setup will be used for 240p/288p/480i/576i only. Someone I talked to uses a PexHDCap and a cheap VGA splitter from Monoprice so he can play on his JAMMA cabinet and record. So if I got a VGA splitter such as this one, should there be no degradation in quality to use it to split RGBS or YPbPr? I'm a bit worried since I have seen cheap KVMs make VGA signals look blurry.
Or, if you have experience with a splitter you've used for RGB, and can recommend one, I would like to hear it. Thank you!
VGA splitter as RGB&YPbPr splitter? Or recommend a splitter!

Re: VGA splitter as RGB&YPbPr splitter? Or recommend a split
Haven't tried the 2-way splitter, but I use the monoprice 4-way 400mhz powered spiltter, it works fine for 2 vga outputs but if I plug more in, I get signal degradation (blurriness).
Two is enough for output and video capture, so it works fine for my purposes though. Mostly I use the XSYNC-1 so I only use the splitter for 31KHz stuff.

I have a 2 way Startech VGA splitter and it does NOT cope with interlace signals. You would be better off with a SCART splitter I think.

Thanks for the input so far. I know Extron products tend to be pretty well-received around here, do you guys think this VGA splitter will work for what I need? http://www.extron.com/product/product.a ... p2da2plusb
Looks promising.Horizontal frequency 15 kHz to 135 kHz

I've used the extron series of boxes you posted for component and composite signal
splitting . Find some decent vga breakout cables and you should be fine.
