This is a very specific question, and I'm hoping for a very specific (and informed) response.
For anyone who has:
1. Had a US-based Xbox Live account, which they then
2. Migrated, using the relatively new (came out in January, judging by Neogaf) account migration feature on Xbox.com, to the United Kingdom...
Were they then able to add points to their account from point cards purchased in the US?
I'm aware of the conventional wisdom that it will not work, but the conventional wisdom was wrong, or at least obsolete, since I was able to transfer the points already on my account when I migrated to the UK, and thus could I purchase DoDonPachi Dai-Fukkatsu which is exclusive to Games on Demand in Europe only. I'm now looking to add US points so I can buy the Black Label DLC. Is this doable? Please do not respond if you haven't attempted (successfully or otherwise) to do so yourself.
(Yes, I know how clinical this sounds, but it would be useful information that could save me some money. Other advice on how to snag that damn DLC would be welcome.)

Re: Regarding Account Migration and Microsoft Points
Incidentally, I entered the code for a US 1600 MSP card on a Euro account (native; non-migrated), and it recognized the code as valid, showed the amount on the card, and gave me the "Redeem Now" option which I didn't select since I didn't want the points on that account.
If it only errors out AFTER the "Redeem Now" option is selected, then the machine that designed this shitty and obtuse interface ought to be mangled. It's as if Microsoft doesn't care about the twelve people who need to do this process in order to play region-locked Cave shooters

Re: Regarding Account Migration and DFK Black Label
So, I just bought a Microsoft Points card in the US. I redeemed it on my UK-migrated account. It works. I'm downloading DFK BL.
I guess region-protection doesn't apply to migrated accounts.
ISSUE RESOLVED
Still, though, this is the exact opposite of what I expected, or what anyone would expect, or even what a Microsoft Support agent told me. US points work on UK (migrated only?) accounts. Weird.
