I am planning to visit NYC w/ my girlfriend next month and I would like to know the best shops for retro and for shmups around there (in order to make some shopping)

If anybody could give me a hand It would be great.

Yep, that's pretty much it. You also might want to check out the Barcade in Brooklyn:

It's not a shop, but they have beer and arcade machines. Be warned, though, it's packed on the weekends. Hope you have fun!
