It's a brief blurb in the back of the magazine in the high score section. They mention a little about what Stunfest is and which Japanese superplayers are going to be making an appearance. Most importantly, they provide links to the site and where to purchase tickets, so you may see a Japanese tourist or two.

Glad to hear you're doing well. I don't think I will be travelling to Japan again soon, it is an expensive trip, can't do things like that often and when I do that again I'll probably want to go somewhere I've never been. But who knows really, I don't make precise plans for the future. In my mind I think I'll probably visit again... sometime.

Yup, see you there ICR 8)

I was just wondering if any London fighter players will be there? Considering the mainly fighting game slant of Stunfest, I would expect to see a few familiar faces. However.....since the Neo Empire forum has completely vanished off the internet, I'm not so sure that any of those guys will make it.

Hey guys,
really happy to hear that you're booked :) When are you arriving ?

For fighter players, I don't know if London players will be at Stunfest (I don't really follow the fighting scene), but there should be some players from Japan... http://www.stunfest.fr/2013/03/16/3-hit ... nvitation/ + some others, koukou winner of last KOFXIII tougeki... sorry they're probably celebrities (are they?) but I don't know anything about fighting games T_T
And Kamui is a top level Virtua Fighter 5 player as well I was told. So if you like watching fighting games, you should get your share of great matches I think.

I believe that the three of us are arriving on Thursday. I'm not sure when DEL and Plasmo are getting to Rennes as they'll be travelling by car, but I should be there for about 7.30pm as my journey will take nearly 11hrs by train.
At least I'll have my iPad with me to kill most of the journey boredom off.
I should probably start sharpening my shooting game skills, so I don't embarrass myself while I'm there. :p

I'm all set up too. It's going to be 12 hours by bus to reach Paris, then a couple hours of train to get to Rennes. I will be arriving Thursday, at around 13.30. Fortunately there'll be free Wi-Fi on the bus so I should manage just fine.

Is there any chance there'll be an Xbox 360 or two running shmups? Just want to know if I should bring my controller with me (I'm a pad player, not too comfortable with sticks...).

Anyway, can't wait to meet you guys in Rennes!

I just wanted to say thanks to everybody that has so far donated to Wasshoi in France.
Paypal has unfortunately frozen my account due to dumb Japanese money transfer regulations, but that should be resolved this week.
Your donations are really appreciated!

I asked the same question, as I'm only really practiced-up on 2 loop Xbox Pork at the mo. PROMETHEUS said its unlikely, but I'll be bringing my Pork disc and stick just in case.

It seems like we might have a Big CHI coming along as well. Just got off the phone to him, we will be trying to arrange something.
Big DEL, give him a call regarding accommodation, if you can.

You and TheOldPlasmo are gonna be sharing a double and I've booked a single. Big CHI might have to book another single, but they're not expensive.

We have a Batrider, Ibara and one extra Garegga that we're bringing,
SDOJ and Futari BL. We decided that we're not making a precise program after all, will just make Futari BL / SDOJ / Garegga playable as much as possible, then put in what people have brought and want to play. So you can definitely bring Donpachi Plasmo. More listing later.

Here is the current list of PCBs that people have confirmed they will bring (question mark when not 100% sure).
They will feed our 7 free play cabs. 1 or 2 non-shmups may be added to the list, but we should have 4 or 5 shmups at least constantly running at all times.

Ketsui
Galuda
DDP
MMP
DFK 1.5
?Dragon blaze
Ibara
Batrider
Garegga
?Donpachi
Mushi Futari BL
SDOJ
?Gigawing

Looking for :
? (tell what you can/want to bring!)
probably will add to list, waiting for confirmation : Blazing Star, Metal Slug (1, 2, 3 or X... or all), Pink Sweets.

Note :
It's possible that some of those games will not run at all even if we have the PCB. This will happen if we have many PCBs and lack time or cab space, or if we notice that a certain set of games functions particularly well with this particular crowd on this particular day, then this set may take priority.

Woah! What an opportunity for a location test though! Especially if you can get the superplayers to try it out. It would be great to hear their feedback. :)

Streaming and videos :
We have prepared video cameras and staff for filming, and streaming is in the plans but will need to be tested on site before I can provide any more info. Will try to provide any info when I can.
Runs should be recorded in full and then distributed online probably through youtube. More info on that later. May take some time to edit videos.

Other news :
Kamui, NAK and TAC have arrived in France. They were welcomed at the Airport by ALFARABI which is a regular French shmup forum member who volunteered to greet them there and accompany them to their next train. They drank coffee in Paris and are now resting in a country house. I've heard they are very excited to be here and amazed at the differences... :)
