Alllllllllllright...everyone (at least, in their mid-30's) knows that vector graphics are the sexiest, and no other console was vector-based. SO, Vectrex wins:
Came with it's own vector monitor, analog joystick, 4-buttons, was cart based and semi-portable, had it's own built-in game...and this was 1982!
Coloured overlays son!
I love how the controller can fold back into the console for clean space-saving and portability.
I'll go with the Neo Geo AES as well, Saturn as a close second.

Imagine a spilled cup of coffee totalling your dick and balls in one shot, sounds like the setup to a Death Wish sequel.
Nice how the depression around those buttons catches the light, anyway. What's with the cartridge slot on the back? It looks like it's ready to fall off.
But that picture is misleading. The other pictures show a lot of old-fashioned '90s Mac-style charm to its looks. Too bad about its bulk though.
The various renditions of Neo Geo Pocket Color were rad. I still have my camo blue one, though I honestly can't remember the last time I played it.
The GameCube is also a solid pick - especially when viewed as an entire package. I really dig the tiny discs, even more so when presented in their tiny Japanese packaging.
Anyway... I think the clear Seaman Dreamcast deserves a mention in this thread:
Not to mention that the Vectrex had the widest distribution of any gaming console back in 1982 stateside: it was easily found in the major (and smaller regional & local based ones as well) American retailer chains such as Sears, Musicland, The Wherehouse, Toys-R-Us, King Norman's Toys, The Modesto Toy & Hobby Co., etc.
Of course, the Vectrex came in three different flavors for the domestic/international market: USA (from GCE, a subsidairy of Milton Bradley), Europe (under the MB label) & Japan (released under the Bandai label) indeed.
Now if GCE had released it's color Vectrex upgraded standalone unit to the masses, it would've came with a whopping MSRP of $499.99 USD just to break even (that GCE estimated it'd have be priced at just to break even or earn a profit on)...and thus it was decided that it was in the best interest not to release it, period. A single color Vectrex prototype exists to this very day. Just be able to play the color version of Mine Storm or any of the possible 3D color Vectrex games would've been ace in my book. Plus the fact that no color screen overlay would be necessary the second time around was another huge possible selling point/factor to consider.
In September of 1984, it was crazy/insane to be able to buy brand new & boxed Vectrexs at a mere $49.99 USD per box during the Great Video Crash of '83-'84 fiasco (when the usual MSRP was at $199.99 USD easily) + Vectrex games were practically being given away at $5.00 a pop (when they originally came with a MSRP of $29.99 USD back in '82). The grizzled video gamer veteran will recall exactly how it was with the Vectrex back in the early 1980s. Those were the days of Vectrex lore.
You might recall watching the cool for-their-time live-action based Vectrex commercials that Milton Bradley/GCE spent their advertising budget on to promote/sell during the early '80s on U.S. airwaves -- plently of fast-paced video editing tricks & never a dull moment when viewing 'em either.
Vectrex Factoid Time: The neon red colored sticker tag placed on a new USA sold Vectrex console's A/C power cord, had an 1-800-255-3700 number on it to call if it needed to be sent in for repairs...Nintendo of America ended up buying that very same 1-800 number in the late-1980s for their own NES/Gameboy repair hotline. Coincidental or not? You be the judge.

The Mark III and Master System designs are really nice, even the normal US one.
The Mark III has this really slick style like a fighter jet. A bit of that spills over into the Master System, although the Mark III's design kicks much more ass. The MS2's Genesis-like appearance is pretty cute, yeah. I never liked it as much because it seemed like it had design that was not-as-nice as the Genesis, but I'm changing my tune on it. It has it's own charm.
full disclosure: Sega is my favorite game company
Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.
I just realized Casio's PV-1000 comes in exactly the same shade of dark blue as many of their handheld organizers. Still really neat to look at though. The Neo Geo echoes the design a bit, if anything does.
Konami, why did you like this machine so much? For that matter, why did everybody else have such a hard time making a sleek console design? Tons of out-of-place warts and nonfunctional bumps on many systems.
Mark III suffers from that basically not at all, however. I didn't quite realize it. Why were we supposed to love black plastic so much? The white stuff looks nice.
Also, is there any system that wouldn't benefit from a transparent case? (Anything that isn't based on technology old or pirated enough that chips are hidden under epoxy blobs, I mean.)

Any votes for the PSone? Well, I'll cast in mine! Not my favorite console of all time, but definitely the sexiest I've ever seen! Sony did a fantastic job with this one.

Farewell to hollow words
Farewell to fake affection
Farewell, tomorrow burns"
For me the standard Western NES remains the epitome of good console design. I love it's retro-futuristic look, like a module from a console wall in some 1970s vision of a 2170s space station.
And, yeah, photographed like that, the Vectrex is sublime!
Would have to also give my vote to the White Saturn I always envied the Japanese when it came out and we were stuck with the black version.
