I come from a time and place where, if you didn't like what someone was saying, you smashed a glass on the side of the bar and shouted "LET'S TAKE THIS OUTSIDE, SUNSHINE." (Sometimes you didn't bother giving them the warning, depending on how big they were.)

I'm not really following what happened fully, but, is this the contemporary equivalent?

This message board never changes. I miss PaCrappa.

It's always good to have a 'Pacrappa' type mate a phone call away still. As my Father always says; "It's not what, it's who."

I hope Ketsui EXTRA for PS3 has proper screen options, the gallery fixed for Vert viewing, the correct attract sequence and the speed fixed this time.

Can't have a "new cave release/home port" thread without bickering, I guess.

Linking that thread makes you sound like a bit of a mean individual JJ. You basically didn't like what some Canadians said so you assaulted them on a Tokyo sidewalk?

I don't like the idea of that kind of activity representing the UK, we're far too guilty of that sort of thing in foreign territories already.

Also, everyone here has ragged the shit out of you for acting ridiculously self-important (for no clear reason) over the years, I just say my bit with fewer words and maximum attention to humour.

It's probably still going to be 60 FPS if that's what you mean.

A lot of people are obviously David Brent fans like me and caught on to the pointing craze too, which was invented by him of course. Just a random google search came up with this bloke doing it for example, in a Japanese themed establishment it would seem...

What a goober.

That's from the London meet for Chinese New Year, from this shmups forum thread.

Chinese New Year 2012 Karaoke Meet

Your investigative skills leave a little to be desired if you managed to miss the location.

Not sure how this contributes at all to a Ketsui PS3 thread, btw.

Back to topic.

It looks like ketsui PS3 is gonna be shown at the SDOJ event in May.
(Or did I read the translation wrong?)

I also wonder about the 60 fps, as the PCB plays very differently in speed.

Hi, everyone! :)

I think somebody else has already asked this Q but got no answer so I'm going to ask it again: Does anyone know what the LE will have that the RE won't?

The LE contents are still listed as TBA on 5pb's site, so I'm guessing nothing's been announced.

I'm hoping for an official JAPJAC foam finger. And the ensuing pictures of people pointing at it.

Up for pre-order on NCSX:

Ketsui Kizuna Jigoku Tachi Extra - PS3 $83.90
Ketsui Kizuna Jigoku Tachi Extra Limited Edition - PS3 $116.90

Price-wise they seem to have taken a page out of play-asia's book making amiami the best place to get it.

But will it be region free?

After P4 Arena, I can't be sure.

As far as I know, that game was only region-locked because Atlus was releasing it in multiple regions at nearly the same time with a large price differential. Since that doesn't apply here, I'd imagine everyone is probably safe.

If it hasn't already been noted elsewhere, Siliconera says that the LE will contain a superplay Blu-ray (apparently an old one recorded in 2003) and two soundtrack CDs (one original, one arranged). It also says that the game itself includes "a faithful port of the arcade game with a bonus Extra mode", so if this is true it sounds like it'll be the same as the 360 version in terms of content.

Yeah I saw that, I wonder what's their source? I'm surprised the news didn't pop up here first TBH.

If only they'd announce it to be a HD version of it in Mushi HD style, I'd buy it again for sure.
If it is a 100% port of the X360 version... I'll pass.
They should make some more effort to get people to buy this.

Which superplay has a better scoring record? The 2003 one or 2008(Arika)?

You know as much as I like Ketsui's soundtrack, I don't know if I can deal with yet another arrange album of it.

If its the same x360 arrange album then you have nothing to worry about, its far superior to the one you heard in DFKBL.

what...? are we talking about the same arrange soundtrack that was used in X-Mode? DFKBL's arrange soundtrack was awesome: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SayBSfK3gB0

Yes I was talking about the X Mode soundtrack, which IMO is far better than DFKBL arrange.
