STG Weekly #17: The Tale of ALLTYNEX
STG Weekly #17: The Tale of ALLTYNEX
Next episode is up in a few days. Looking to do the show this Saturday around Noon CST.
The Tales of Alltynex is the name of the Siter Skain series of (doujin) games which include Kamui, RefleX and Alltynex 2nd. STG Weekly is supporting Nyu Media in their release of the localizations of these games, and in fact, we will have AlphaProspector from Nyu Media to talk about these games as well. Some may already know Nyu Media for their release of Ether Vapor ReMaster.
However, we're still looking for people who would like to comment during this episode, if only on one or two of the three games. If you know any of the three games well and are available on Saturday please PM me.
This episode may be more of a promotional episode rather than intensely informative like some episodes can be when we have people who really know the game. So we'll probably just be enjoying some replays while clearly explaining the gameplay mechanics wherein. Hell, if you just like the games, it might be enough to come on the show if you're enthusiastic. It's a laid back approach as usual.

Re: STG Weekly #17: Tales of Alltynex
I would totally love to comment but I'm not sure if I'll be busy on Saturday or not. I am very familiar with Kamui and RefleX but I have yet to play Alltynex 2nd.
I'll post again when I know if I can make Saturday or not.

Re: STG Weekly #17: Tales of Alltynex
I've played all three and 1cc ed all three on normal modes. I would like to extend my service to comment if needed.

Re: STG Weekly #17: Tales of Alltynex
Yeah, no. Final Apocalypse is Siter Skain's next game.
...Although I'm not sure if it's officially part of the Alltynex series. I remember seeing something in a Comiket catalog that made me think that Final Apocalypse was something separate.

Re: STG Weekly #17: Tales of Alltynex
Couple of fixes
The series is called The Tale of ALLTYNEX according to the devs. The new game doesn't appear to be part of the series, it's no longer Final Apocalypse and has been redubbed as "Heavy Dragoon Arms" or something along those lines.
Astebreed is indeed the new game in development by Edelweiss.
Some people were actually trying to score quite a fair bit, all three games have their secrets on how to approach scoring. I've explored Kamui and RefleX the most, Alltynex Second has some potential too since it's focused on speed killing and lolswording baddies.

Really great EP, Kamui especially blew me away. Thanks again for doing this, great commentary all around!

Great episode. Looking forward to purchasing the games, and looking forward to seeing some commentary on Battle Garrega next week.

A big thanks to Seon King, AlphaProspector, Aleksei, and Softdrink117 for the commentary. Nice to have a full house, the atmosphere was so cool and froody.
If you like these games, please keep an eye out for the special announcement from Nyu Media next week and also think about purchasing them when they come out!
Cheers,

Alltynex 2nd is essentialy a 3d remake of that game.

Then he says to the white dude "Watch out for that black dude, he wants a piece of your cookie!"

Re: STG Weekly #17: The Tale of ALLTYNEX
Despite me not watching the stream, I'll quickly get The Tale of Alltynex games when Nyu Media finally releases them.
Also, thanks to my ATI video card, RefleX keeps on slowing down... Kamui and Alltynex Second works fine, though. I hope Siter Skain can release a patch for RefleX addressing the issue, along with the demo for Final Apoc- Err... Heavy Dragoon Arms.

Heavy Dragoon Arms/Armed Dragoon (according to the logo) screenshots. Trial version at C84 perhaps?
