Best PSP shooters?

Re: Best PSP shooters?
I can vouch for the following psp UMD's (from CID's list) are worth investing in:
* Darius Burst -- Great game all around and great graphics
* Strikers 1945 Plus Portable -- Good collection of the two games
* PC Engine Best: Soldier Collection -- If you've played these on PCE, you've love them again. This collection is great IMHO.
* Ginga Ojousama Densetsu Collection (PC Engine Best Collection) -- You're buying this for sapphire which is $400 on PCE... it's not worth the money on PCE IMHO, but this game is a great port.
* Parodius Portable -- This game is just fun!
* Salamander Portable -- See gradius
* Gradius Collection (US) -- Started it all basically for me.
* Platypus (US) -- The gameplay is super simple and controls are tight. It's almost as if claymation met shmups. It's a very odd art style, but I really enjoyed playing this game!
Overall, I must say that playing shmups on a tiny screen on psp can be infuriating at times... which is why I went with a system that had the AV out option to play on a larger screen. It definitely helps!

Strikers is very cool, it's super tough but loads of fun.
I'd heartily recommend Space Invaders Extreme too, not only is it visually striking it's also a ton of fun.

Darius Burst
Neo Geo Heroes
Strikers 1945
PC Engine Best Soldier Collection
PC Engine Best Collection
Parodius Portable
Star Soldier
Twinbee Portable
Capcom Classics Collections
In particular I was wondering about the Soldier games... I have Soldier Blade on Wii, and don't really like it as much as Star Parodier or Blazin Lasers. What games are in both PC Engine compilations and how are they?
In regards to Parodius, I've never actually heard anyone's opinion on the game. I assumed they were solid but uninspired shooters with nice visual design. I guess the way to go when making purchases is Gradius -> Salamander -> Parodius, right?
And can anybody else speak up for Star Soldier PSP? I remember people hating the downloadable Star Soldier (on Wii and PS3 I think?), and I was wondering how this one stacks up to older Star Soldier games. I do like them, but I'm not sure I'd get a ton of play out of them, considering Soldier Blade is regarded as one of the best and I simply think it's good but bland.
Also, are any of those Capcom collections good? I think I played one on XBOX and it had a lot of games but nothing standout.
