CAVE is Going Out Of Business
CAVE is Going Out Of Business
Not today, though, because today is April 1st.

After what's happened to milestone, I think ikeda and the rest being kidnapped by the yakuza is more believable.

Haven't come here in a few weeks, so I thought this was real and I missed something... got me!

Re: CAVE is Going Out Of Business
Ugh... Except we all know this is most likely the eventual truth

I wonder how many users had a huge grin in their faces while they thought this was true...

Re: CAVE is Going Out Of Business
"CAVE is back in business" would have been a bigger shocker. This was more of a "Yea, don't remind me."

Cave is making a Mushihimesama/DoDonPachi crossover game. Queen Larsa merges with Hibachi and becomes Queen Larsabachi. It uses all of the final attacks at once. All of them.

LOL. You ALMOST got me with that one until I kept in mind what the date was. If it does happen for real, hopefully it's still far off.Friendly wrote:Not today, though, because today is April 1st.
Now if someone told me Ibara+Kuro will be coming to 360 or Mushihime Mitari is now loketesting, I'd have fallen for that.
Kinect? KIN NOT.

Re: CAVE is Going Out Of Business
To those who would actually like to see Cave out of business, have a little perspective. Like the games or not (in which case, you should get that problem looked at by a professional), Cave has single-handedly retained legitimacy to the entire genre for atleast a decade. If they are gone, so many other devs will have a much harder time making it. It's kind of like how Street Fighter goes, so goes the rest of fighting games.
Unfortunately there been no other clear leader in this genre of gaming, and until that changes, count your blessings each day Cave is still in business.

I think the opposite if anything. Now all anyone cares about is ZOMG BULLETS ERRWHERRRR, rather than well-designed stages and focus on minutia.

If you're trying to say Cave generally doesn't have good stage design then you probably don't even understand the subject well enough to comment it.trap15 wrote:I think the opposite if anything. Re: CAVE is Going Out Of Business
Oh no, CAVE games generally do have quite top notch stage design. Not trying to say those stage designs aren't good. But I wouldn't say they're as well designed as, say, Kyuukyoku Tiger, or Hishouzame.

Ha! Everyone knows that it's not a real shooting game company unless they are constantly on the verge of going out of business.
