Pyongyang - I am not sure if this will upset some but what about making the Fanzine available electronically for those who missed out on ordering Paper Copies - either for $ or for free? Just an Idea as it seems that some People didn't order in time but may wish to read the Articles and it all goes to widen the Readership

I ordered 11, so I'll have 10 available on my site when I receive them. And no, I will not hold any for anyone - first come, first serve.

I value your services for the community, but it made me chuckle thinking about this: those 10 zines go from (presumably) Ireland all the way to japan and from there to any place in the world.rancor wrote:I ordered 11, so I'll have 10 available on my site when I receive them. Re: Pink Bullets Zine is finally here! (Pics Inside!)
The first batch of zine's has just been posted! Check your mailboxes soon!
The remaining copies will be posted tomorrow. Please note the Easter break coming up which will delay delivery by a few days but I envisage most of the UK/IE/EU will receive their copies next week!
ROW will probably be a little longer. Please let me know once you receive your copy(ies).

People in Ireland should start seeing copies landing this morning. If they are very lucky, folks in the UK may see it too.
I'm about to take the remaining zines to the post office at which point they will all be shipped!
Last night I was up until about 3am bagging zines and printing address labels. Same as the night before haha!
Can't wait for you guys and girls to receive them. May the critical backlash commence!

Sweet, very big congrats on your achievement. Don't do a Cave and start reprinting stuff, desirability is a nice thing to have created.Pyongyang wrote:ALL POSTED!

Cheers chief, your label is in squiggles so I hope it reaches you haha!
I won't reprint it. I'm knackered from this one so may not make another. We will have to see. Taking a break from it and gonna play my Hyper Duel PCB instead!

Not sure if I should take that as a compliment or not!
It's possible some folks in the UK may receive theirs on Saturday. Domestic post in Ireland is nearly always next day, hence the majority, if not all, of the Irish purchasers would have received theirs today. UK will be Saturday or Tuesday I think. EU likely by the end of next week.
ROW probably the week after? Although mail to and from Japan in Ireland is relatively speedy so who knows?

That's great news to hear the final copies of Pink Bullets zine has been sent off to their respective final destinations, Pyongyang. I'm glad to have pre-ordered a copy when it was still possible.
I can imagine if Pink Bullets was a monthly or quarterly released magazine venture with a full time staff, it'd could really be something else. As the ol' adage says: Like fine wine, the classic shmups get better with age. Talk about super tight deadlines to meet or end up burning the midnight oil to get things done on time. There's something about holding a shmups magazine "in the flesh" compared to reading it as an e-zine can't match. If you do decide to follow up with printing a 2nd issue, count me in as a loyal reader/fan. Your shmup blog is quite a delight to read at one's leisure indeed.

Re: Pink Bullets Zine is finally here! (Pics Inside!)
Thank you very much for the very kind words!
I hope you enjoy it! The work behind the scenes is pretty hardcore for a one-man show. I definitely learned my lesson there! But I just hope folks enjoy it. I can't ask for more than that. Maybe next time I will buy a crate of beers and kick back after the hard work... if there is a next time!
I have one more thing in store, which should be sorted tomorrow. Keep your eyes peeled folks!

You should take it as the HIGHEST of compliments!Pyongyang wrote:Not sure if I should take that as a compliment or not!
Consider the times you've been in a rush to go to the loo. The sheer presence of mind required when one is touching cloth to take the most optimal route to ones collection of graphic novels and magazines - quickly sort through a mountain of extremely good titles to find the one worthy enough to share the next 5-10 minutes with you in the great cave of meditation.
When one is pressed to make such difficult decisions in life - under such immense pressure - one simply does not have time to muck about deciding whether he or she wishes to flick through an old computer magazine or embark on Katsuhiro Otomo's insanely long epic.
Then, like a shimmering light in the darkness - the unfortunate toucher of cloth is saved. As though the hand of the almighty descended from the skies and finally answered his cries of "O Lord, please guideth me" - clutching within his majestic glowing (and often lightning coated) fingers - a copy of Pink Bullets Zine.
Never more did the troubled toilet goer have to worry about his or her choice of reading material. Never again did they have to endure the uncomfortable 30 seconds of clenching while making such decisions. All because of the hard work, love and dedication shown by Pyongyang.
Serious stuff.
Quite keen to read this!

To compliment the zine, I have filmed the process of making, bagging and shipping your copies out to you. It's my first attempt at making a little 'film' thing and I thought it would be nice (on a personal level) to keep as a memento of the project and how far it reached (thanks to the community!).

Hmm, I think I need to do a re-edit!
Why did I have to do that part last night after 9 cans of Amstel?

Only in Ireland could this be seen as an acceptable amount of drinks to have before starting semi professional video editting work..Pyongyang wrote:Why did I have to do that part last night after 9 cans of Amstel?
More importantly, why were you up posting on the forums at 9:20am after 9 cans of Amstel?!

If your answer does not involve one of those ^ you are most certainly "doing it wrong".

Amstel is just rebadged Heineken. And at €8 for 6 cans, it's a step in the right direction away from Dutch Gold!
I was up early this morning to walk my stupid dog with a fat head and weird feet on the beach. Crisp sea air melts away the hangover nicely!
