Ketsui comes to the PS3

I thought the no-Cave games on PS3 thing was pretty straight forward. Cave use an existing DirectX 2D framework (bought or licensed from M2) created specifically for the 360. Either no equivalent exists on the PS3 or it would be prohibitively expensive (in a time & money sense) to create their own framework on the PS3.

I'm a little nervous about preordering the LE. I have to wait a couple weeks for a new credit card to come in (mine expired in June so I couldn't use it). Any chance this will "sell out" by mid-April, or they'll just keep on taking preorders until it's released?

Why not use one of those rechargeable internet credit cards? If you have money on your account...

Can someone explain how the fuck amiami works? I wanted to see how much they would charge for shipping, and I ended up creating an order somehow. I don't see how I can cancel it, nor do I see how they expect me to pay for it since I didn't enter any paypal/credit card information. I've used other Japanese websites in the past (such as toranoana) and they definitely weren't this bizarre.

Amiami waits for the items to arrive to calculate shipping costs. This way you exactly pay depending on the weight of the actual item and an order does not require any down payment. They usually don't accept cancelations, but your order is automatically cancelled if you don't pay within a week of the game's arrival in stock.

EMS for a simple game is roughly 1,500yen to Europe. LE Boxes slightly more.

I still think I would prefer reverting to play-asia in order to use my 5$ off coupon. I've never used amiami, I just wanted to check out their rates

Amiami in general and placing orders with them comes with experienced use of their service. You just have to wait until they have checked the weight of the package. They usually put all the items in larger packages than necessary and place a whole bunch of paper to soften things inside the package so the items don't get damaged during delivery.

Here's the price I paid for Ginga Force.

As long as you placed an order for that specific product (and it didn't appear as sold out), you are guaranteed in getting that LE edition. You will be in their waiting list among other customers that bought the same thing, and you will get a confirmation of shipping cost later.

I haven't compared their pricing on SDOJ specifically but AmiAmi has beaten Play-Asia's pricing by at least $30 on each of my Cave LE orders, factoring in speedy shipping. I wouldn't be in a rush to save $5 just to still pay $25 more.

Speaking of Play Asia coupons aren't they supposed to give one away with every order? I gave my first $5 away expecting to get another with my next purchase of a budget 360 game, but that and another order didn't have one in

In my experience the value of your order has to exceed $60 (before shipping) before they will give you the coupon. Then the next time you have to spend $60 to redeem the coupon. In general a "low value" order that can't use the coupon won't generate one either.

They must arbitrarily run out of printed coupons then - last year neither my RMA DoDonPachi Resurrection (Deluxe Edition) [$18.90] nor Eschatos (Wonder Price) [$39.90/Free shipping] came with a coupon. Most recently Ginga Force [$77.90] and Gunhound EX LE [$72.90] did.
