Maybe 5pb decided to take a chance with this before Cave hits bankruptcy (of course we don't know for sure if this will actually happen to Cave but you catch my drift...)

I'm also happy that this gets a PS3 release as this means that more people will hopefully be exposed to the drug that is Ketsui

Totally left field this is. Definitely happy none the less since I don't own a J360(but been itching to play a version that's not a rom). Yeah I got a wide ass grin right now ^_^.

I'm getting this I don't care... I have two copies for the 360 but I'd rather much play it and own it on the PS3!!!

Pretty cool though. Already have this on 360 but I'm curious to see how it turns out.

Ketsui 360 sold about 3x the number of copies that Bullet Soul sold (~15k vs ~5k), according to the latest available Famitsu numbers anyway.

Wow good news

I've been avoiding shmups chat recently due to the lack of Region Free, PAL 360 shmups depressing me, so this news is a nice perk up.

Even though I only have a PAL 360 I was planning on picking up Ketsui soon in the hopes of modding my 360 in a year or 2. PS3 is even better though as I can buy a cheap 2nd hand PS3 later down the line. Considering the slow rate I'm going through each of my 360 STGs I'm fine having the game sit on my shelf for a while.

Makes me wish 5PB made more of the region locked CAVE shmups like MUshi HD. Atleast we might possibly see DOJ and Bullet Soul so I can pick em up cheaply.

I don't get what's with the "don't double dip on shit even if it's helping a nearly dead company live and make profit" mentality here, people buy way worse shit day 1 which is never worth 60 dollars then one of the finest Cave shmups comes out and it's a sin to double dip...

I'm sure they will make a new arrange mode though, I doubt they will keep the same one as the 360.

Since it's a licensed port, I don't think its sales will affect Cave directly one way or the other.

And I doubt we'll see a new arrange mode. As far as I know, 5pb didn't really add anything new to any of their other 360 -> PS3 ports. At most, they might set the default display setting to something like 4:3 tate'd with yoko'd HUD elements/real-time Trophy progress on the borders, assuming Sony still hasn't relaxed their policies regarding these types of games (thus forcing 5pb to do some silly gimmick to get around it).

Why do people think that a DOJ port is even a possibility? The 360 port was reverse engineered code and all copies were recalled from shop shelves. Nothing has changed there.
