You can always play later more and try to do better and go for the cool run.

What do you think which is easier to do to reach the 2nd loop, collect all the bees or get the hit count required?
getting the bees, that's why is the next step
No it's not.

Hit count. 50M score is also easier than the bees.

Well, I'm terrible at chaining so I said what I considered easier for me.

In that case you're indeed the first person I've ever heard to loop the game with the bees. Usually by the point you learn the stages well enough to get those, you're already fulfilling several other conditions.

I have indeed 1-ALL'd it but I've never looped it

sorry if I was missunderstood.

I've learned bee placement though.

I've looped DDP several times and I'm worse than the whole lot of you.
Chaining/Scoring is way easier than collecting the bees.

Whew, finally managed to get my first real 1cc, Bakraid's Advance Course. I figured it out eventually, to handle rank just die as much as possible with only 1 extra life in stock and never get extends when you have any extra lives left, obviously you want to score too so you can perform this weird alchemy as many times as possible.
Not much else to it, I love the design of this game.

Btw since everyone's speaking of DDP, I do just fine until the later stages where no matter what I start getting herded by a bullet wall into the side and then the top of the screen, and there's no way out of there without a bomb, weird because I never have this problem in other shmups, it's just some DDP enemies never stop firing.

I need to get back to that. It was a huge screw up for me not to do that in December/January when I was close.

But I did get the Muchi Muchi Pork 1.01 1-All at least.

So after checking out this thread, I went and played Dodonpachi myself and ironically managed to 1cc it also for the first time. I have 1cced it before on the Saturn (both Saturn and Arcade mode) but I feel much more fulfilled doing it on the actual arcade version.

Having lots of fun playing Deathsmiles on 360, finally managed to 1CC it tonight:

147th on the overall leaderboards, I think I'm pretty happy with that!

That was my second 1cc ever, but I played on full-on sissy mode and beat it on my third try after clearing Futari so it didn't feel like an achievement. But I love DS and definitely want to try and clear it selecting All-2 and All-3!

Looped Under Defeat for the first time. Really surprising since I died on the first boss. Might go for the second loop since the game is pretty fun, just need to die less on the first. =_=

Nearly no-missed the second loop (save-state starting from 2-1 with max. bombs) of strikers 2 two out of three times. The second time was really close in particular. I was thinking about how awesome it was to get this 'achievement'. And while thinking about this (during the last stage) the slow suicide bullets from an enemy traveled across the screen to hit me. Cleared the stage without using any further resources though. Still though, I bombed through most of the tricky/risky spots so the run itself wasn't impressive (or well, as impressive as I would tend to think that such a run should look like).

Now if only I could do a full run --playing safe-- + --not messing up-- and just get over with the clear. I guess one of the problems is that if you lose a life (and generally you lose a life in this game rather spontaneously more often than not) before the turrets in the airbase stage, you have an up-hill battle. I have that stage as fourth, just like in 'default' order.

1-ALLed JJ Squawkers just now! :D Got to stage 4 in the loop, where I was promptly destroyed by everything moving like 10x speed compared to the 1st loop... Sadly, didn't get it recorded.

CONGRATS! I'm only aware of MMM getting this 1CC up until now.

abschüssig has done it as well - actually beat MMM's score. Their videos were invaluable in helping with bosses - knowing when to barrier for gems was critical in getting my score high enough to actually get the second extend.

This is rather embarrassing, but I finally cleared Futari BL Maniac. I was determined to do it as Palm instead of using Reco, and really I don't know why it took so long. :|

Radiant Silvergun 1cc:d. No-missed XIGA and stone-like with no lives left.. felt pretty awesome pulling that off since I failed all the big chains in Stage 4 making my weapons a bit weaker.

No clue if this score is any good, since we don't have a Novice mode hi score board?

There actually is a Novice/Arrange board, it's just run by someone else (it's all the unpopular modes, lol).

Hahaha, no seriously, congrats man! I gave up a long time ago because after so many hours of persistence, I still couldn't gain any decent consistency. I'm really jealous of you right now. :D
