Could you guys help me choose a version of Dodonpachi?

I'm debating between the PS1 and Saturn versions and I've read a lot about the differences. BTW, I know the original arcade version is best but I want to have a home version. PLEASE DON'T LECTURE ME ON WHY THE HOME VERSIONS ARE INFERIOR TO THE ARCADE VERSION.

Please politely correct me if I've gotten anything wrong below

PS1
Pros: Less Pixelated explosions (this is pretty big)
Cons: More expensive, have to choose ship in options, have to change speed in pause menu every game, players can't play as different ships (or is it same ships?)

Sat
Pros: Easy access to better Saturn controller, extra stage, less expensive
Cons: More pixelated explosions

They both have screwed up chain timers, but I believe the Saturn one is closer in that respect?

Saturn version. Why is this even a question when you can fight the TLB without the usual requirements?

This just in. Apparently the PS1 version doesn't count Bees for your chaining or something which screws up the scoring.

If you care about inaccuracies like this you shouldn't get the Saturn version either. Its closer to the arcade original, but still has slowdown issues.
