I pre-ordered September 2011, and had to chase up an order confirmation at the time...but got the latest press release (in my Spam folder!)

I'm pumped for neo xyx as well....not familier with bit boy arcade though? Another dreamcast game?

*edit - I just looked up bit boy, I'm not much of a "puzzler" but still looks cool :) (DS game if anyone else is wondering)

Yeah, I got the first one and loved it, still a small indie dev though, lol.

I swear down, if it weren't for indies, I'd have very little to play these days.

Yeah I'm back in Dreamcast fever, finally got a boot disc sorted (bought an xploder) and I'm getting the American games I always wanted, Ooga Booga, Egg, Armada and Mars Matrix.

Anyone have any regional recomendations?

Regular Edition is up for pre-order on Play-Asia:

Regular Edition

Deluxe Edition - no pre-order.

I did not realize there was a Wind Squid edition.

Probably makes it a contender for CGR Game of the Year.

Wind Squid is blatantly getting a mention when CGR review this!

They're offering the (severely wounded, based on its 5 legs) octopus separately at Red Spot if anyone really really wants one. Personally I think it's a bit creepy looking, only has 5 legs and I just want the ruddy game already after 2 years of waiting!

Update
Dear customers and fans,

All pre-orders have been chosen (and calculated) with the standard 2nd class shipping method. It does not offer insurance nor tracking number. If the parcel is lost, we can not send replacements due to the limited quantities of Sturmwind.
This means, your pre-order of Sturmwind does not have any tracking nor insurance so far and therefore there are high risks of damage. This applies to all destinations and both Sturmwind editions (Limited Edition "Windstärke 12" is very fragile freight).

If you want to upgrade to insured (international) shipping with tracking, the shipping will be increased by 14,30 EUR .

The redspotgames online shop would like to accommodate all customers and agreed to use 4 times more bubble wrap for all insured parcels than we can pack into 2nd class shippings. We want you to receive the game as safely packed as possible.
So no pay no extra bubble for you and probably a smashed ship figure

I do like the poll on this on their face book, one option you can choose :

I really don't care, I want the game, broken jewel cases or not!!

Err.... nearly €15 for extra bubblewrap and it's still sent 2nd class post?

Simple answer.

DO ONE. :|

Eh? For the extra cost you get insurance and tracking. It's not just for the bubblewrap.

I've had stuff come from Germany in inadequate packaging and have it arrive damaged. I'm not sure why this wasn't offered as soon as the limited edition was announced though.

I sent the request asking to upgrade mine to insured/tracked
Seeing it's the same customer service ticket system I used when trying to cancel my order several times (and never recieved a response) I'm curious to see how quick they respond this time, lol

I understand the need for registered shipping on an item like this, but I really don't know how they came up with the 18,60 EUR. Registered airmail (1st class) shipments from Germany to anywhere in the world are 7 EUR for up to 500g (1.1lbs) and 10.55 EUR for up to 1kg (2.2lbs), both including insurance for 100 EUR. 8+ EUR just for packaging is STEEP!

Yeah I don't get this at all, unless they use FedEX maybe. Sounds like rip-off...

Dear customers and fans,
... If you want to upgrade to insured (international) shipping with tracking, the shipping will be increased by 14,30 EUR (18,60 EUR total). ...
I placed my LE pre-order on 2013-Mar-31 (which is now OUT OF STOCK) and was charged "Postage & Packaging: €11.40". So that is neither €4.30 nor €18.60.

Did you get this information simply off of Facebook or was there an email? Because I didn't get an email about this ...

It's a hot topic on their FB page: https://www.facebook.com/redspotgames?fref=ts

Reactions range from:
- waited two years/now more money
- this is saying there are not enough CDs and only insured will be delivered, the rest will be 'lost'
- this is a welcome option for long distance shipping, and pre-order money has not yet been taken
- Europe should be ok with regular shipping as per original order

I can't easily make a SEPA transfer so will play the optimist and see what arrives early May

To me it doesn't sound like they are asking for more money. Just that they're warning people that because of the nature of the release if it does get damaged during shipment you won't be able to get another. And to make sure you can upgrade the shipping.

I can see why people might be mad though, from the way its worded.
