Kanaya Games

Post by WarLord »

Hi all,

I'm sorry if it already exists a thread about that, I've done a search but nothing else except a subject where a member was asking differents place where to buy arcade stuff in Japan. :)

My request is simple, I'd like to know if anybody has any experience with this shop : http://www.game-kanaya.com/

Any feedback ?
Are they serious with boards quality ? Genuine ? Conversion ? Bootleg ? (Ex : About Irem PCBs, Do they sell also official Irem conversions or genuine only ?)
Is there any person who speak english in their staff ?
Solid packaging ?

Paypal payment accepted ?
Gift possible or + 5% only ?

Also, the most important is that I don't find any contact info except via phone... Is it normal ?
No e-mail adress ?

I wanted to contact them for any items and delivery info but no way to find an e-mail adress...

Any infos about them is welcome buddies,
Thank you ! ;)

Kanaya is a nice little store. If you actually visit the shop, they have a nice leather sofa and give you a free can of coke while you wait for them to fetch up whatever board you want to see. Quality wise, they are honest, boots are labeled as boots, typically when they have original arts, they put them up on their webpage. Price wise, they are a bit high, hence not too many expats deal with them when compared to Mak and Try.

They do not ship out of Japan, they do not take paypal. They take Japanese bank transfer, and domestic COD only. They do not speak English at all. If you want something from them and don't live in Japan, you will need a proxy of some sort. They have an email, but if your Japanese isn't good enough to figure that out, I think you should stick to a proxy.

Thanks for the response d00d - I often wondered about the store myself!

Cheers,
