Kinda wish he wasn't already 77 years old. My family's flipping a shit (in a positive way.. I think) that he chose Francis as his popetag, and that he's a Jesuit, which probably means he's a smart guy, probably. And indeed - it's no surprise the new pope would be against homosexuality - it's part of the religion he represents. Now, if he stands on that balcony shouting 'homosexuality is evil and gays are wretched scum, hate them! hate them!' while thumping his bible on the railing, we have a problem. I think it's limited to meddling from afar by way of influencing Catholic politicians through press releases and statements. Honestly the church and state need to be kept as far apart from eachother as possible.
