DDP DOJ - Differences between PCB and PGM version?
Hi everyone,
Just what the title says. For the people that own one, or both- are there, if any, differences between Dodonpachi DaiOuJou (White or Black) between the PCB version and the PGM cart version? Slowdown? Difficulty? Having trouble finding info about any differences online. Also, what about Espgaluda and Ketsui, for good measure?

PGM cart is a hardware hack. It uses a sac cartridge, and you can have either WL or BL put on it. Therefore, they're exactly the same. I've owned both the PCB and the cart version and they play exactly the same.
There are no cart versions of Espgaluda or Ketsui. I talked to the maker of these carts, wanting to get one for myself and he said it's impossible to do.

It's possible, just takes a significantly greater effort than DOJ.
Anyways, the cart is a bootleg, and is worth very little. So if you want that, don't be paying too much for it

DaiOuJou as a PGM cart? Hardware hack? That's something I'd like to see! It would
make playing this game much less of a hassle (Replacing a cart VS Replacing the PCB)
I've heard about DaiOuJou Tamashii, and THAT has a NEW Easy mode
alongside the original mode (white label)
The easy mode IS NOT BLACK LABEL in this version.
If you reached the second loop on Easy mode,
it follows the same rules as White Label. You
only have one life going into it.
CAVEPCB has a video of this PGM2 version..
I'm not sure if this is will count, because
it's PGM2 and not PGM1... Either way, this is the "Official" cart
licensed by CAVE. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FB8hz6cwDWo

The DOJ cart they are talking about is a homemade/user/unofficial conversion made from a sacrificed cheap PGM1 cart where you reprogram the roms. Tamashii on PGM2 is official and unrelated.

I figured. I edited my post when I realized this. I just thought to bring itMuchi Muchi Spork wrote:The DOJ cart they are talking about is a homemade/user/unofficial conversion made from a sacrificed cheap PGM1 cart where you reprogram the roms. Tamashii on PGM2 is official and unrelated.
that it was an "Official" cart verison, so that was the first thing I thought of.
My bad...

The PGM2 cart has some silly audio cuts in the 3rd stage if I remember correctly

So, any DDP:DOJ PGM carts in the wild are all unofficial, then?
Re: DDP DOJ - Differences between PCB and PGM version?
Yes, there has never been and never will be an official CAVE PGM cart.

Re: DDP DOJ - Differences between PCB and PGM version?
They are, but those are PGM2 carts, not PGM carts. Amazing amount of confusion in this thread for it to be so short.
Re: DDP DOJ - Differences between PCB and PGM version?
Why do people always assume a different version than one specifically said?...
When I say PGM, I mean PGM, not PGM2. When I say XBOX, I mean XBOX, not XBOX360. When I say Mushihimesama, I mean Mushihimesama, not Futari, etc....

because everyone else uses those two interchangeably. I'm not saying its right, personally I agree with you.trap15 wrote:Why do people always assume a different version than one specifically said?...

Re: DDP DOJ - Differences between PCB and PGM version?
Kinda like Cave SH3 to CV1000 eh trap15?

Re: DDP DOJ - Differences between PCB and PGM version?
But CAVE SH3 and CV1000 refer to the same thing. PGM and PGM2 don't.
