Re: Dodonpachi Saidaioujou
I can't remember the name of the show right now... I believe it was something along "Batsu Game". It's a bout 4 or 5 guys who are exposed to continuous "hilarious" situations (like the one on the gif) and they have to resist then for 24 hours. If they laugh, they'll receive a beating in the ass.z0mbie90 wrote:What the hell is that? It's your usual sadistic japanese humour...
Re: Dodonpachi Saidaioujou
That's exactly right, it's actually a special they show every year on New Years Eve that gets super high ratings.

Those guys also happens to be friends of Arino Shinya (of Game Center CX fame) and both Arino and Hamaguchi (who both forms the comedy duo called Yoiko) spends time with those guys in a couple of shows, including a Friendly Downtown walk around town for some head-slapping fun. :3

Ah didn't think it was Gaki No Tsukai, watched some of them, some are quite fun! Wonder if theres a new one for this New Year!

Re: Gaki No Tsukai Ya Arahende from SDOJ thread
There is a new one this year. This year has two themes in the Batsu game. First being teachers, second they go back in time to the Edo period. I only watched the raw, but I THINK they got five 30 minute parts subbed at the moment.z0mbie90 wrote:Ah didn't think it was Gaki No Tsukai, watched some of them, some are quite fun! No Laughing in High School will always be my favorite batsu game.

Btw, the one in the gif was from an episode called "Punishment Experiments" where they thought up different punishments on each other. Should be on YT, or Daily Motion.

Yeah the Highschool one was hilarious, I always laugh my ass off when Jimmy Ohnishi is counting.

If you guys haven't been on it yet, there's a fan site that finds and subs episodes of their shows, as well as Downtown's other shows (like Hey Hey Hey music champ, and such). www.gaki-no-tsukai.com
I recommend the non Batsu game stuff too, like the Absolutely Tasty series, where they take foreign dishes, and Japanify it (and vice versa), and taste it (though, I guess some of those failed experiments could be considered punishments anyways
