Had a bit of trouble figuring out which part of the background was collidable. Is it possible to move the grass effect behind those rocks?

Thanks for noticing i didnt see that , i wanted a slow paced r-type style thing but with the trees in the foreground giving a sense of speed to counteract the slow bullets ect...
Just a bunch more experiments for me realy , honing my particular brand of pixel art as i progress as well. Gimme 2 years and something will happen !!

lemme know what needs changing... or even what score you get :)

last night i accidently stumbled upon an age old bullet clump effect :D so im a bit excited

the trick is to die and go hunting to take out loads of bullets for a bigger score (instead of bombs and ups the risk factor )... might call it something to do with suicide "sue is fine" or something lol

The game looks pretty pleasant visually but please remove the movement inertia. It only makes control a chore and quite frankly I didn't want to play the game much further because of it... Also, an autofire option would be nice.

I agree with Ebbo, though it feels like the game has some input delay too. What tool did you use to make this?
If watching the trailer of the game
makes you feel a certain way
I would be very happy if
you would give the game a try

Contruct classic (dx9)

ill have a mess about with the settings, im new to this so ive got alot of catching up to do.

Any stock parameters for movement ? such as acceleration that would be better ?

This is what i have (not that any of it is fine tuned, i havnt researched that enough )

max speed 200
acceleration 1000
deceleration 1000

The music should work on this, the intro is like a loading screen so cant be skipped ...

I had a go at doing a dodonpachi style ( i use that term very loosely) unusually angled scrolling backdrop .Once you get over the jungle mountain hopefully you can see a dam and a jungle.

Got the scoring all sorted out ..
build up "faith meter" then at the end of your session (if you make it) your score will be multiplied by your faith level.

more of an obscure, abstract caravan style game

you get 20,000 for the gold statues
