New Member Intro...

Hi Guys n' Gals,

I've posted a few times asking noob questions but I figured it's about time I actually introduced myself.

I'm Broken Harbour, I live in canada, and I recently turned 31 and I've gotten back into collecting games from my childhood. Alot of modern games don't really do it for me, so I decided to go back and re-buy some of the systems and games I was stupid enough to sell 15 years ago.

There's a pretty good 'retro' game store near where I live that has a great guy managing it, and shmup games came to my attention because he loves them and talks about them non-stop. After some googling, I'm here. I recently acquired a few shmups to try out and I have to say I'm hooked now. I bought Ikaruga for my Gamecube (Well, Wii actually....) and G Darius for PsOne (That I play on my PS3 lol.....) and I'm blown away by how fun they are. I don't know how shmups flew under my radar when I was a teenager... they're great! Also tried Zanac X Zanac (PSN Store) and I bought Metal Slug X - not technically a shmups but big fun regardless...

So now I'm hooked at I'm trawling ebay every day for shmups. I have a SNES as well so I'm looking around for good ones for that too. I'm looking for a good used Genesis, PS2 and Saturn as well.... I owned two Saturns back in the day and I feel like it was the strongest system of it's generation (even tho it failed commercially) and I keep regretting selling them. They also seem like the best system for shmups as well....

Anyways... enough rambling from me. Suggestions on where to go after the aforementioned games? Been doing research but it's hard to figure out where to start....

I tend to go to Nexwave video games when I'm not going through ebay, kijiji, game gavel, etc...
