Judging by the clean up I did when I got the cab that came in, that spill was coke. It was all in the controls too. The weird thing is how close the spill was to the slots, but nothing actually got on the PCB.

Looks great! Glad to see it getting used. Been sitting in my closet for a couple years collecting dust.

Thanks again for the Shock Troopers 2; that was a nice surprise.

So yea, we have a real winner here.

Argh, got a Sky Shark pcb off lolBay, but it was packaged poorly and some of the chips ripped off. I found little pieces of rom-kibble all over the bottom of the box. Seems to run still, but has scrambled graphics. Sending it back today..

Got the replacement board today (three weeks later). Even used the included bubble wrap and anti-static bag I included with the return.

Seller was nice enough to include a free marquee with it. Sweet!

I'd like to know who the seller is... I have my eye on some Skyshark auctions, but one seller seems a tad uncooperative when it comes to adding non-stock pics they used for a previous auction.

Yep, third layer - not JAMMA, two power connectors and an IO one. I'm told it works but the adapter it came with is pinned for Vanguard 1 cabinets and I've run out of JAMMA fingerboards.

Is Sky Adventure any good, at least?

Much better than expected, actually. Visually it's similar to Sky Soldiers, with the same font types, explosions, sound effects, and bootup sequence. It improves the gameplay features a bit though. You can switch shot type, sub weapon, and speed on the fly, and weapons powerup separately from each other. I'm sure someone who masters the mechanics can do some cool things with it.

Scoring seems to be about milking smaller enemies with destructible bullets, and speed killing bosses for huge time bonuses. Each stage ranks you on how well you scored compared to recent players, which is a neat way to track progress.

And there's a generic evil nazi dude who "Wha-ha-ha-ha"s at you through the whole game. And dinosaurs.

*edit* The seller had another auction for Sky Adventure, so I dropped them a message to let them know the situation. Looks like they corrected the other auction now.
