The art looks nicely detailed. Good luck with it.
Though it seems like it's going to be on XBLIG (Indie Games) not actually XBLA (Xbox Live Arcade) like the subject header says, correct? Probably good to specify which it actually is so people know where to find it.
Making an action platformer with a transforming grappling hook: ChainStaff. Also made a shmup with multi-ships: Shoot 1UP DX, and more .

Correct, corrected.
My apologies all for the generic association there.

On a side note, there's a competition to win the concept art featured in that preview article (if you like that sort of thing).

Hello Sier, I did read the interview and watched YT video. It looks ok not great but ok it's not coming out till Q2 2013 so lots of time to work on it. I'm grateful to have so many STG's on XBLIG and have no idea how hard it must be to make a game by yourself. Sorry if i am being rude to you.

Things i would like to see are local/online scoreboards, Different game modes eg Story mode and Arcade mode no text story bullshit. Can we have a new song soundtrack on each level/stage. I have games with one song for the whole game.

I am worried about the gameplay and scoring. Also the enemies look i don't know, The bullet patterns, hitboxs.

I'm not involved in any aspect of Power Up Alfred, I'm just a fan of the project and Psypsoft's dev blog.

It's me who is sorry Alfred - I probably should have made my reply to MommysBestGames much clearer.
Again (embarrassed) apologies.

Ever wanted to see your name appear in the credits of a particularly enjoyable shmup you've played? From around £5 or $8 US you can.

BCG interviewed Mike Hanson - the one man army from Psychotic Psoftware - back in October last year and quized him about his Xbox XBLIG shooter project. The above link is a bit of a news update on his independently developed title - Power Up - as it now sets its Kickstarter sights on PC.
