It's definitely Toaplan-inspired, but I don't think it's going to end up being a copy of one of their games. The only game I can think of that they did that with is GunLord. Fast Striker and Last Hope are both substantially different from the games they're taking inspiration from.Mortificator wrote:What's funny about that quote is that the writer needs someone else to tell him XYX is based on Truxton... and what Truxton is. The Hellwigs' standard approach is to copy a classic game and stick it on a type of cartridge that collectors will pay disproportionately large prices for. The quality of the games aren't too important to their target market, so it would actually be counterproductive if they were good.
What are you talking about, Fast Striker and Gunlord are awesome games. Of course the games aint gonna be same class as CAVE, Raizing or other STG devs, NG:Dev are indie, and for being a indie dev team that release their games on actual Neo Geo and Dreamcast hardware I think they are super good.psoslayer wrote: I get the feeling that since Last Hope peeps are ashamed to like NG:DEV.TEAM games.
The Pink Bullets version is really good though.psoslayer wrote:lol the gameplay looks better than perrys version already
somehow I get the feeling that since Last Hope peeps are ashamed to like NG:DEV.TEAM games.
