You press them, and ... they work! Underneath it's just a normal circular hole with a standard Cherry microswitch setup like any other non-JP button. Problem with the square ones aside from looks, is over time they start to stick - especially when kids spill coke on them. The sticks are godly of course, early model Suzo 500s, I may steal them.shmuppyLove wrote:Those buttons ...

Actually arrived last week, but lo and behold:
My supergun, handmade by RGB... Unfortunately, I couldn't play yet, as I'm still waiting for the soldering tin to arrive to mod my sticks. But RGBs craftmanship is truly something. Really looking forward to 1cc esprade on this thing.
The supergun:

The RGB-scart cable and the jamma-extension (with integrated kick-harness):

RGB, I think I love you.

New R-Type figure:

For some reason the bits don't have a place of their own, though I clearly remember seeing a (prototype?) image where they could be attached to the ship itself with short prongs.

Player 1 and player 2. It's about the same size as the previous R-Type figure released.

My army is increasing.

I just got Batsugun! And last week, I got that Atari 2600 flash cart. It's really cool. It'll even run Supercharger games.
Not pictured is a 19" PVM that Kiselgof loaned me too. It works pretty well with Batsugun

awwwwwww yeah

It was $10, don't judge me. I'm hoping it's somewhat decent.

cool. That Harmony cart is good stuff. I like how a ton of 2600 games can fit on a small SD card.louisg wrote:

I think you can have every 2600 game ever made (including all regional variations, bootlegs, homebrews, and whatnot) in about 50MB.BrianC wrote:I like how a ton of 2600 games can fit on a small SD card.

I got the Steam version for about the same price, I think it's worth at least that much.shmuppyLove wrote:awwwwwww yeah

But then I got stuck on some annoying boss fight and kind of forgot about it.

I think that sums up the experience pretty well. Those boss fights just aren't very fun, and I think I got rather far too but just couldn't be bothered...Ghegs wrote:But then I got stuck on some annoying boss fight and kind of forgot about it.

Yeah, that sounds about right. Games tend to average around 4k.Stormwatch wrote:I think you can have every 2600 game ever made (including all regional variations, bootlegs, homebrews, and whatnot) in about 50MB.BrianC wrote:I like how a ton of 2600 games can fit on a small SD card.

7:00pm - "meh - not as good as I thought"
9:00pm - "Fuck this. Anyone want a used copy of Ginga Force?"
Re: Awesome stuff you've just bought (+pics please)

Picked up some Hori sticks. The Saturn marks my first "proper" stick....if it counts as such

Wanted to know what the fuss was all about and stumbled over some good deals in rapid succession.
...turns out I still might prefer the d-pad
