Donald Land and the likes

I feel tempted to give Donald Land a try next time I emulate NES because, hey, Data East. Any other oddities of the sort? (Games that stayed in Japan despite their "global" licences.)
Not sure if Wizardry and Ultima Underworld were all that global at any point.

HG101 recently covered A week of Garfield (Garfield no Issukan) for FC. It's not any good of course.

Supposed to be pretty okay. Never had the inclination to play it though.

I can vouch. It's a pretty solid, fun game. That could also be the love for BttF spewing out of me, though.

I thought DH was somewhat forgettable. Hey look! MacClane is having another text-only cutscene with himself!

Pretty simple, but fairly fun Chase HQ style racer.

Simply because it's BTTF I have tried so hard to like this game so many times, but it's honestly quite terrible. Marty skates too close to the edge of the screen, picks up speed suddenly and erratically and ends up forfeiting his two hits on all sorts of stupid crap. The jump is difficult to maneuver and when you die you go right back to stage start (no checkpoints iirc) which is pad bitingly annoying b/c the layout it so dull, haphazard and long-winded.

It's been a few years since I've played it, so it probably is garbage. But look how cute Marty and company is!

New Ghostbusters II for Famicom got a PAL release so I am cheating by mentioning it here but it is such a wonderful game that I feel I ought to mention it anyway.

The Famicom Labyrinth game is cool and interesting, but the way monsters spawn in is super frustrating. Still, worth checking out. Tons of clever gameplay ideas that tie into the story of the film quite elegantly.
IGMO - Poorly emulated, never beaten.
