Snagged a PVM 20M2MDU. I'm very happy with it, but have only run it with consoles at this point. It takes composite video as sync, which makes it really nice for using scart -> BNC cables on consoles that I don't feel like adding my own A/V output to.
Another guy I've been talking with got the same monitor, and ended up having to use a lm1881 to get sync to work on this monitor from his CPS2. He also needed resistance on the RGB lines which I understand is necessary.
My question is, people running JAMMA boards to BNC RGB inputs on a PVM, are you doing anything with the sync line? lm1881 or sync cleaner? Reisitor/pot? A lot of the JAMMA -> SCART diagrams I've seen have anything from a 100 ohm to a 1k ohm resistor on the sync line.
Also I have the service manual for the 20M2MDU which covers some other models too. PM if you need it.

You might remember me from such movies as skate323k137 on neo-geo and racketboy forums.
Re: Calling people with PVM's and Jamma boards (20M2MDU / CP
I have a supergun that I built using a 13" PVM and I didn't need to do anything to the RGB signal coming off JAMMA, it just goes straight into the BNC connectors and everything looks fine, including CPS2. Your mileage may vary.

I've been searching for the service manual for the 20M2MDU for a while now - could you let me know if you still have it?quizknows wrote:Snagged a PVM 20M2MDU.
