I called into the video game store today (GAME) and to my surprise they had 3 games I've been after. Deathsmiles deluxe edition, Under Defeat HD and Akai Katana. I purchased all 3 but when I got home and put katana in the Xbox the damn disc was scratched to buggery! And it wouldn't read.....

That's always the risk of buying used games I guess (sounds like that anyways since you said it was scratched).

Reminds me of the brand-new copy of Silent Hill 3 I bought that refused to work. Returned it for another one that worked fine, was very confused by that, I assumed the disc was flawed somehow from the factory.
