What is it going to be? Well, another ace shoot ‘em up for the Sega Dreamcast with focus on arcade action joy and elaborate scoring system. And various player ships too choose from and a load of game modes, such as 5 stage game mode or challenging caravan game mode and last but not least: time attack.
Now, some interesting facts for you:
Game Features:
3 Game Modes with 3 player ships too choose from.
Online score leaderboard via code
Screen Orientation:
TATE ( “3:4”) and YOKO (“4:3”)
Game Modes:
Stage Mode: 5 Stages
Caravan Mode: 2 min./5 min.
Time Attack
Release: TBA 2013
Edit: I took "Caravan" out of the title since they game seem to focus on the Stage Mode.

There's some polls runnings on Hucast FB to vote for stage themes (Shanghai was the favorite so far) and also about pre-order for a special edition: https://www.facebook.com/hucastgames
Why do all these polls have to go through facebook these days?
I'd really like to stay away from facebook at all, but find myself left out of a lot of stuff this way too.
For the record, I'd preorder a supporter edition as long as it remains exclusive. (any Hucast people reading this?).
Well, first I was going to say that I'm interested solely because it's a Dreamcast game. Then I read that it would have caravan modes. Then I read that it had tate and yoko support. Then I saw the concept art.
These guys really like slapping my bank account in the face, don't they? Whatever, I need to keep track of all these rad shooting games coming out while working on my own. It's too much to handle, I tell you, too much!
I need to murder my backlog.
Why is it called the Vic Viper/Warp Rattler? Because the Options trail behind it in a serpent-like fashion, and the iconic front fins are designed to invoke the image of a snake's fangs.
I love how it's limited to 300 copies and "group orders are welcome". I'm sure this CE preorder is totally geared towards gamers who actually play games, and none will be purchased for immediate resale.
It says a lot when the only user reply at the bottom of the screen is "When will the SE go on sale?"

I agree with you on all the above points. I very nearly did pre-order it just now. But I'm not going through Sturmwinditis again just to pay €80 for a game that may not be delivered this year and nobody has seen anything of it yet (in video form at least). What has been shown so far, in terms of art etc does look utterly fantastic.
Yeah I went for it. I'm happy to support someone not only still putting out physical games but also shmups for a console I actually own. No region bullshit. No Xbox 360 will it/won't it die on its arse.
No different to buying games back in the day, when you only had box art and a couple of screenshots to go on. Well it's a bit different as it's about twice the price I paid for SMS/SNES games back then. It's the indepedent artist scenario - I'd rather pay more for a record, directly to the band, than pay less at a shop and have the world and his wife take a cut for doing naff all.
I understand how you think TransatlanticFoe. If I had the money to right now, I would order it. And also when snes/mega drive was popular you didn't have youtube or internet to check trailers, new screenshot (exept gaming magazines). But if internet had been there then I bet it would have been trailer too
Prerendered backgrounds and enemies probably, and 480x640 resolution, so nothing looks unrealistic to me. Hopefully plays well, can't wait to see a video in motion.
