Yep, I see it, you're absolutely right Dave. I didn't really pay attention to the sphere, I guess that's a clear giveaway.

Also, I clandestinely snapped that Garegga boot I found in that smaller hangout for you (about a million times until I could get a clear shot). It's not the title screen, but it's basically only the title that's altered on there anyway. In-game, all ships are unlocked from start and can take three hits before dying, and you seem to be max powered up from the get go (options excluded). It's not Garegga as we know it, but good fun, certainly.

Thanks for posting that pic! Looks like the same bootleg previously discussed here. Pretty interesting to see it running in the wild (and of course in China). :)

Well, the title's the same, but from memory I'm sure the title screen is different (the original hangar bay image rather than the cloudscape.) I don't remember seeing those button 1,2,3 options to start either. Also, no-one in the thread mentions the three hits (from what I noticed) EDIT: Sorry, Bzee did mention it. I'll take a look for the 'C' above the bombs.

Will go back and pump a few credits in (only played it once) and see whether it fits the profile.

EDIT: It does, and it's fun! Loads of fun. I found you can switch between any ship type by tapping the option, which was interesting, and it's a cakewalk until Stage 6, which promptly robbed me of all my lives shortly after managing to pass the mid-boss wall.
