Yep, SNES Timecop. All videos will be available for download eventually (as in when all 150+ hours of recorded video material has been processed, synced and all that crap) but for the time being there's links to the proper timestamps in the Twitch recordings here and here. Timecop (and thus all of AwfulGDQ) is in the second one. I'm on the couch during that run!Skykid wrote:Holy crap, someone did Timecop? As in, SNES Timecop? I hafta watch that, plz link.KennyMan666 wrote: Rewatching some of the Awful Games Done Quick block in Twitch archives. Timecop is still a thing.

<Despatche> you've been a thorn in the shmups community since the beginning, you're largely responsible for the horrible face of modern speedrunning

You could technically speedrun kingdom grandprix couldn't you? Haha...
I tuned in to last years and watched far too much, this year was no exception. Really enjoyed the GTA3 run, the commentary was very insightful and the run itself was pretty fascinating considering nothing important was able to be skipped, mission wise. PJ's runs were a riot as well, I loved the playthrough of Battletoads & Double Dragon with MechaRichter, absolutely hilarious and will forever remind me why I miss co-oping games like that.
I'm somewhat surprised nobody did Quake, I've been attempting single-segment runs on/off for the past 7 years myself (that jump on E1M3 can choke on it, I blame the Darkplaces engine for the wonky grenade physics, not my incompetence) and even on easy it's a pretty entertaining game. On the other hand I can understand why, done to death and all.
Might tune in to the SGDQ as well this year, either way, seems a lot of people have been inspired to taking up speedrunning yet again, let's see if they fizzle out like new years resolutions~

Got them to let me play darius gaiden, but it kept getting delayed enough that i was too tired to play and had to kill the run.
Dimahoo is a fun game.

That was... the best thing ever.KennyMan666 wrote:Timecop (and thus all of AwfulGDQ) is in the second one. I'm on the couch during that run!

I've already emailed it to five people. We have a thing where we either drink a little and put Timecop on, or just get into a stupid mood and put Timecop on, purely for the absolute hilarity of what is surely one of the worst games ever. The thing is, we're all laughed out by the third stage and never play beyond that, so watching this was brilliant on so many levels. And that ending!
Which dude were you, on the left or right?
Also, these geeks rule, I love these guys. Omni reminds me of Rupert a bit :ducks:

I was sitting on Omnigamer's left. (you could also easily find out who I am by watching one of the runs I did!)

Yeah I did enjoy, next free minute I'll browse the play list and see what else is up for grabs.KennyMan666 wrote:I was sitting on Omnigamer's left. (you could also easily find out who I am by watching one of the runs I did!)

Going back and watching a few of the things I missed the first time around on the recorded stream. So far i think Banjo-Kazooie and F-Zero GX are my favorite ones that I've seen.
