Foul plagiarism. Real men post their own art. That they made in MSPaint. Hells yeah seaking~
Guild Wars 2
I made this variant to submit to one of their holiday fan art contests. It did not get an honorable mention, because they are soulless bastards. FYI: one of the winning entries was copy pasta of their own art. Slightly photoshopped and put together in a composite. (No longer a cheerleader for Arena.net, but it was other douchey corporate things they did they made me unfan them.)
Hellgate London
These are all better than what the game deserved. :smugsnake: (The game was pretty ruthlessly grey btw; there's a reason why all these 9000 hour online things take place in a relaxing meadow.)
This is what MSPaints look like if you don't take painstaking minutes (hours) making them:
(For an unfinished game with no content, it's terrifying how much they cut, like these skull spiders.)
Achthander
This one was a real failure in an experiment with fore/background contrast. I'd use a lighter palette for the background if I ever felt like fixing it up.
A poster here suggested it should be equipped with a buster sword and have spikey blonde hair. After a decade of considering it, I agree that I was too strict to sticking to canon weapons. It
is Einhander 8, for christ sake. Things would change, man.
DeathSmiles 3
If you can't tell from the image, this is the new muscley-old guy they're adding to the series. He uses meat magic and has a shoe familiar.
Lord of the Rings Online
Someone once asked me to do a drawing of their dwarf from the game, providing a screenshot for me to work from. This had to be one of the most painful MSPaints ever. Since the software doesn't provide a zoom out function, it's easy to screw up scale if things have to be off-screen. I ended up drawing too small of a head, and had to carefully cut it out, scale it bigger, and then paste it back in. 3 or 4 hours total man.
For the record if you're wondering, I added nothing extra to the picture. What was in the screenshot is what's in my scribble.
FATE
FYI: FATE is a Diablo clone where you stand around while your cat murders the hell out of everything. Especially oozes.
Diablo 3
The top one was an example of a Chaos Knight class. I like the shield with a skull and tentacles on it - it's a wonderful stock design you should use on all your shields.
The bottom one was a Crazy Cat Lady class I submitted for a "Design a class!" contest at Diablofans. Once again, I was snubbed because people are bastards.
(FYI - the sarcasm in the Cat Lady one is along the lines of "This is dumb. A class is just an archetype and a theme bolted together. There are only a handful of archetypes. Grr I hate life and everyone in it." (FYI - In Diablo clones I would go even more reductive - a class is just the type of screen coverage it can do with its attacks and its defense. Lines, cones, forks, circles...))
(The winner, if I recall correctly, was a Necromancer With Ghosts or something. It fit into the lineup about as well as the Cat Lady (which was the point), but still more respectable than Arena.net's abomination of a contest.)
(And if I'm proud of anything in my life, it's how cute that kitty in her fist looks. READY FOR LAUNCH. READY FOR COMBAT>)
PSX Vita: Slightly more popular than Color TV-Game system. Almost as successful as the Wii U.
