One of my cabs (Egret 29) has a very funny characteristic. If you play a game in 480i, the screen gets really jittery. So much so that it gets really blurry. When you first turn it on it's fine but within 5-10 minutes, the image is shaky to a point that you may as well not play. However, if you throw a regular 240p image at it it looks perfect.
In case people are wondering how I've tried this, certain games allow for an interlaced signal to be sent to the cab (Mr. Driller 2 and Mr. Driller G), as well as viletim's RGB/Jamma video converter outputs 480i from my xbox 360.
Has anybody ever heard of this and what might be the cause? Other than this flaw, my Egret really is the business and I'd love to get it working perfectly.
This is an Nanao MS9 monitor BTW...not sure of the chassis type. I know the monitor was worked on in the past before I bought it, though I don't know in what capacity.

Sounds like a chassis issue to me.

I have no idea, but if you can't fix it, just stick an Extron RGB interface in between and convert 480i to 240p.

Any of the Extron RGB interfaces with ADSP sync processing. See this thread for some details: http://shmups.system11.org/viewtopic.ph ... n&start=30

I have the opposite problem with my Egret 29 (MS8). 480i is REALLY jittery at first, and then settles down. I am also using viletim's adapter.
