Metropolis magazine (formerly Tokyo Classified) celebrates their 600th issue with the start of a 2-parter in which they cover 600 useful and admitedly useless facts about Tokyo. A good read if you're interested in Japan. Some crazy history in there.

I had to re-read that one. They've should've elongated the "o". Ohta-ku (as in they're from Ohta Ward... not that they make games for otaku, which could be considered true I assume).

I find it to be quite interesting, but I now question how accurate it really is.
Example, on the first page/last entry, it talks about the heavy metal band Iron Maiden, regarding their album "Maiden Japan". Well, the guys in Maiden are not from the US...they are British.

That could easily be a typo. In their defense though, I assume all shitty metal bands are from the US.

So, you consider Iron Maiden to be "shitty"? Thats weird, They're one of the best/most influential.
BTW: There are plenty of good US Heavy Metal bands around...although there is "crap" from everywhere around the globe.
