I didn't see a thread on this.
Anyone play it? I play on the Japanese server because we won't see this in the states for a looonnng time. I'm a level 10 (soon to be 11) Hunter.
If anyone would like to play with me or hook up with anyone else online, here's the thread for it. Or just discussing it in general even if you don't play.
Here is how to get in (hopefully it still works).

And listen to this guy to patch the menus, and most of the item names.

Phantasy Star Online 2
Re: Phantasy Star Online 2
I'm looking forward to watching the Western release fall flat on its face. I have precisely zero time for the useless cretins who work at Sega US, although half of the problem with them starts in Japan. Played PSU to death. Never again, based on how Sega ran it into the ground and failed (and even abused) their customers repeatedly.

I still play PSO on DC :p
I think most people have gotten the idea that the only way to play is on JP servers since they wont go down after 2 years.

Sounds like I made the smart move and only played PSU for a month. I tried to love it, but it was no PSO. Now, I simply don't have the time it takes for these games. Wish I could sit around and devote 100 hours a week to a game, but I simply can't. Also, server side saves: all that work will be deleted at some point. Hard to get excited for that. I can still pop in my GC disc and cards though!system11 wrote: Never again, based on how Sega ran it into the ground and failed (and even abused) their customers repeatedly.

Having played PSO2 in the closed beta I look forward to the western release immensely.

I haven't even played the game for 30 hours in 4 months...GaijinPunch wrote:Sounds like I made the smart move and only played PSU for a month. I tried to love it, but it was no PSO. Did play quite a bit on the Japanese server, nr 10 I think it was. Haven't played in a long while now, just checking in to patch the game up and such.
It's pretty fun but very repetitive, still I enjoy the fast gameplay. Playing a ranged class in MMOs have been been as fun.
Can't remember the level I reached but I unlocked a few more areas however. In the end a giant dragon kicked my behind and my quest log-list-thing is full of either boring gathering quests or semi-impossible boss runs
