My girlfriend bought these three DVDs for me.

I was allowed to buy a Sony Alpha E 16mm lens for my Sony NEX5R.

And I received gift cards for the Apple App Store, Amazon, AMC Theater, and others.

Congratulations to the new fathers! :)

I got Psych Season 6(great show to not be missed) the complete series of Daria, Clothes, a pizza maker, collection of bond movies and most of all my favorite gift, Mutemath - Odd Soul on Vinyl. Already have that on Cd, but I'm into vinyl these days and I'm glad I got that. :)

Thanks, while my girls do enjoy Puzzle Bobble for a bit, they just wanna quit once it gets tough. They even have their own arcade sticks. :) They seem to prefer playing it on a cab though. :D I hope the son will be a shmupper too, like his daddy-o.

My wife got me this dope Herman Miller Aeron Chair:

It was a welcome surprise, as I had been working from a shitty Ikea chair since I started telecommuting about a year ago.

Some peanut butter M&Ms, Batman TDKR and Expendables 2 on blu-ray, and a Razer Onza pad, which actually does seem pretty good when playing Call Of Duty. Took several rounds to start getting the hang of, but the analogues are pretty accurate and have a usably small deadzone. Not as impressed with the d-pad concept - tried it in a shmup - useless.

Is it Special Edition or just plain Wipeout 3? Nice gift either way, although SE fixes almost everything wrong with plain Wipeout 3.

Got some presents for myself today: first Black Sabbath album, two early Kylie Minogue albums, and some other cool stuff like Associates and The Teardrop Explodes, all on vinyl. Went into some videogame shops but then I remembered videogames suck these days.

When I get back to Internet land I'm going to buy a shit tonne of 80s girly Japanese pop LPs, and then my Xmas will be complete :o

Whoa, I didn't know about Special Edition. It looks like it only came out in Europe.

Yeah. It's PAL only, but it's the definitive version of the game.

- At work, a coupla girls baked me a moist (and delish) pumpkin bread, some banana nut muffins, a little thingy of coconut candies, and some Christmas cards. Those tided me over during finals week, so it was the coolest care package I coulda gotten at the time.
- Another girl got me a watch display/storage box and a Christmas card.
- One colleague got me a $50 Amazon card and a Christmas card
- My boss got me a $15 Starbucks card.
- Another colleague got me a program and a publication for beginner investing :o

- My mother bought me all kinds of stuff: Hugo Boss cologne, sweaters, ties, shoes, a clock, a watch, a universal remote control for my crappy CRT teevee...
- My stepfather got me a set of hot sauces with different flavours and bought catered dinner for everyone (which includes me).
- My stepsister got me a box of See's chocolates.

- The kicker was getting a mystery box in the mail from an old friend in South Korea: a Ferragamo wallet, Walt Disney's Peter Pan, a sucker, and a Christmas card. Just weeks before, I was thinking I needed a new wallet and it fell magically from the sky

I made off like a bandit this year. It's crazy. Honestly, I liked the cards the best because I like reading and re-reading the inscribed messages 8)

I haven't really tried an Aeron, but Herman Miller chairs are quite nice. I recently bought a Mirra chair with all the adjustments included to replace a series of assorted junky chairs I've been through over the years. I had one at my desk at a previous job, and got spoiled by it. The things certainly aren't cheap, but the 12-year warranty (parts and labor) they come with ensures they'll last at least that long, and over the course of that time you'd probably end up spending less buying one good chair than buying relatively cheap chairs and replacing them every 12-18 months.

This particular Razer Onza gamepad is available for both the 360 & PS3 platforms...saw 'em both at my local Best Buy priced at $79.99 USD each just last week. The outer box that the pad itself comes in, is a huge one, indeed.

I went to Target looking for slippers to gift to my closest friend as a belated present, and I found that someone had returned a sealed PS3 super slim bundle that was sold during Black Friday. They were of course asking for 200 dollars for it, so I scooped it up on the spot. It comes with Infamous, Infamous 2, Infamous Festival of Blood, Uncharted and Uncharted 2.

Score, if anything.

My present was 2 days late, but I got it finally. :) Cute little girl on the 27th.

Kind of late responding to this thread because I've been in hospital pretty much 24/7 since.

Viper Phase 1 (USA version) PCB
Super Qix PCB
Kageki PCB (lol - it's the thought that counts, I guess)

On the console front:
ZombiU
Walking Dead
Under Defeat

Love everything, except for ZombiU and Kageki. ZombiU just stresses me out, so I'm returning it. And Kageki is..well, Kageki.

I have one of these as well - for some reason the left analogue stick has a rubber-band snap feeling when I push it upwards about halfway, which annoys me whenever I notice it before forgetting again. I also recently noticed the analogue shoulders were catching a few times recently - might be related to the tiny bit of loose plastic I could hear rattling around inside when I first got it. Still a pretty good and serviceable pad. I should probably think about opening it to check out what's going on inside, but the pads over the screw covers deter that.
