Frog Fractions

Post by MommysBestGames »

Found an extremely weird indie game that seems simple, and sort of funny, but then gets more weird, pretty complicated, and funnier. And then gets weirder.
Spoiler: it does not really teach fractions very well.

I really liked the originality and the "I don't quite know what will happen next sort of feel". Give it a try, it took me a good 45-60 minutes to 'beat' it.

(Sorta spoiler below--or 'interest pique-er' depending on your perspective)

There's even a shmup part! It's a bit sloppy, but over quickly enough and mainly there for variety.

Yeah! A friend of mine is the author. I contributed the music for the boss scene.

I'm not usually into indie games, and my opinion is obviously biased, but I thought it was a hilarious game/flash thing worth playing all the way to the end at least once.

Yeah, I mentioned this game in another thread. Small world.

Congrats, there was a lot of nice music (good variety too) in the game. Pass along my praise to your friend too, I loved it!

Blargh.. search fail. I checked (with/out quotes!), sorry. Didn't see any thread, and thought the game was so cool, it could use it's own thread and others should play it.
Plus I figured we could help if anyone gets stuck, especially in a certain unusual (not to spoil it) middle section. I found that part pretty tough, but my skills in that particular genre are pretty rusty.

Don't worry about it. Glad some other people saw that game. Amazed that some of the talent on this board helped make it.

As soon as I saw "Fruit: Like a billion", I knew I was hooked.

Love this game. I just learned how to do fractions, and that there's no juice in space apparently. I wish bacon milkshake perfume were a real thing.

This game zipped on by, but not before I drew a picture of a dragonfly yelling "oh noes!" while being sucked up by the end of my work visa signature.

I wonder if there's a way to fail the visa application process - supposedly I got them all right the first time. I guess next time I'll just yell "bugs" repeatedly. Also, I was rather disappointed that there wasn't really more of an endgame, especially with all the new content they threw at you.

the way this game progresses into out and out crazy is fantastic - brilliant fun.
