Takes "Trying to hard" to a new and not-paticuarly-exciting level.

Strangely not horrible. A kusoge in the best sense.

That last bit was kind of clever, though. Reversing the controls without warning like that!

Try loading the page up with NoScript, you get a starry background and this transparent picture:

As it turns out the Forum background is a good match, maybe somebody's a Shmups fan?

p.s. 71,740 on the last stage

What is, the starry blue background behind the picture?

Edit: In non-crappy news, the opening trill for the shooting stage is very similar to R-Type's opening fanfare.

Keyboard sucks, good thing you just need to go left and right. I only ever got hit because I didn't realize Science was invincible (lol, ironically). I could've taken Internet, too!

Fun fact: You thought Dikembe Mutombo's limbs were long? His full name is Dikembe Mutombo Mpolondo Mukamba Jean-Jacques Wamutombo.

That's the most African name I've ever heard.

Nope. Got me killed once.
The other time I got killed was when I forgot that letting go of shot meant moving at 2x or so firing speed.
Science being on one side of me with nothing on the other felt weird too.

Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.

If it works for Armpits, it can work for the world. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jodowAHMGc
Not as bad as I thought it was gonna be, but certainly isn't gonna top Reimu's Sales Pitch.

This kind of advertising is really having an effect on me. Let's all buy some Old Spice.

If only Old Spice didn't smell so icky. But then most colognes and such have an unpleasantly synthetic scent to me. :(

Z and X work on the shmup stage. Not the rest it seems.

I'm finding this hilarious. Will probably play this a few more times before December 21st.

Better no up-left-space than ctrl key problems (like a "gaming" laptop might have because they're all WASD-addled). I think I will go look for an n-key rollover keyboard though! Google brings up lots of suggestions so yay.

Yeah, kinda sad that it is. Nice art too.
Making an action platformer with a transforming grappling hook: ChainStaff. Also made a shmup with multi-ships: Shoot 1UP DX, and more .

Charles Barclay with RPGs, Dikembe Mutombo with shooters... NBA players seem to become 18 billion times more awesome when put in a classic video game genre.

Not Shaq, though.
