Last time I checked it wouldn't boot a CD. Most PS2 games can be burnt onto a DVD, but some won't boot like that and then there's the PSX library.

RayForce IS on the PS2 indeed (one of the Japanese Taito collections).

Oh that could be, I don't think I've ever tried it.

But I believe you can run original import DVD/CDs with the softmod?

I think region- and copy protections need to be worked around all the same. If you can play games from other regions, you can boot burnt discs and vice versa. It's not like Saturn.

I think most talking done in this thread was a futile attempt to escape from this name.
I atually like the Mobile Light Force 2 cover art (although Shikigami no Shiro is better off played on the PC), but 1 is as taboo as video games get.
In other words, you just officially won the thread.

The XS Games release of Mobile Light Force on the U.S. region PSX is really none other than Psikyo's Gunbird arcade shmup. The original Japanese PSX version of Gunbird doesn't have tate nor does this MLF port either.

It's not bad, but Raiden III was just Moss warming-up for Raiden IV. Even if someone can't play the latter game at the moment, its simple existence makes it hard to recommend III.

Raiden III is about the only Raiden game devoid of wobble screen. This alone makes it a winner.
