This whole topic sparked an interesting conversation on another forum I frequent about how we shouldn't support sega because they are a company of douchebags, with the most interesting (and unsettling) anecdote being how one person said that [years ago] his friend's sister was kidnapped by Sega's yakuza branch because said friend (a game developer) was getting ready to testify against Yu Suzuki for a patent dispute and other likewise retardedly-hardcore shit.
Sometimes that old saying "Sega has no clue what in God's name they're doing" seems to have a rich history behind it.

It's a lot like a child asking its abusive parent to make them some ice cream.
Shining Force is dead. If you want more of it, you have to go out and make a clone of the bastard yourself.
Hot centaur-on-man action, Jedi powers; it isn't all that unique.

PSX Vita: Slightly more popular than Color TV-Game system. Almost as successful as the Wii U.

I have never been thinking of Shining Force (the one I care for) as a Sega game. Apparently their financial contribution to development was marginal. Face it, chaps - Sega games at the time weren't quite as good. (Would any of you revisit Phantasy Star instead? Or indeed Sonic the Hedgehog, to add insult to injury?)

In marginally-related news, Sega is also suing Level5.

Patenting such a thing (then again, what exactly?) is news forsooth. Sounds more outlandish to me than what that Edge bloke does.BulletMagnet wrote:In marginally-related news, Sega is also suing Level5.

Hope it gets dismissed as frivolous. Then again, I don't have much faith in the Japanese justice system.

This morning I found it hilarious that, according to the SCII box blurb, Soul Edge(™) was the BAD sword. Take that, the Egde guy.
Off-topic, but funny all the same.
