Video and audiophiles are pretty neurotic and tend to focus excessively on even the minutest of details. I should know.
But if you find the casual small talk here to be so shocking the you should try the AVSForum. Now there expert level hairsplitting is on the day's agenda, every single day.
The arc every hotly anticipated piece of electronic goes through from the speculative announcement phase to the euphoria around release and the crescendo of nit picking in the post release phase is fascinating.
