Yeah, should be. They mentioned before that they were doing a story-based arrange in widescreen before, I think. Cave might make some dumb decisions with their ports, but I can't imagine them knowing their fanbase so little that they'd completely rework the aspect ration on the port :p

Have someone ever noticed that PCB shows only todays hi score while you are playing eventhough the #1 score in the ranking is higher.
As soon as you turn the PCB on, it comes back to the default todays scores.
I would like to know if this is normal?

It's normal. To see the all-time high scores, press B when they display the top scores of the day. You can scroll through the other ship types by pressing up and down.

I've been out of shmups for a little while now, but I remember reading a while back that Cave was aiming for a simultaneous 360 release for this game in Japan and NA (EU also, maybe?).

This opens a kettle of fish for me: do I pay a little more to keep all my shmups on one console, or do I get the US version?
I'll probably get the J version. Hopefully it has options for English voice/text.

People seem to hoard 10 and use them in the stages. From what I can tell they usually get used in mid-stage 3 and early stage 5, with new hypers being used at key points in stage 5. Stage 5 can be basically your whole score with Laser and Expert due to the overflow bug.

When "continue" appears on the screen, if you right away tap your start button very quickly, it skip where you died and start right away at the next stage....

I also have the last printing of the board, so maybe CAVE found it in an earlier release? Would love to hear more about how you've got your board set up if this is actually true. I tried to do it from stg 1 as well as stg 2. With free play enabled, and with credits enabled.. nothing worked.
