Dear HellSinker,
I am sorry that I didn't give you a shit-ton of points in my Top 20 Best Doujin/Indie Shmups of all time vote score. I love you at least as much as Crimzon Clover now. From now on when people ask me for doujin shmup recommendations I will reply with, "HELLSINKER AND CRIMZON CLOVER. And umm... what else?", instead of my usual, "CRIMZON CLOVER. And umm... what else?". I love you HellSinker. I know I haven't 1-ALLed you yet but I'm close. I keep getting caught up in your off-the-wall scoring and it's slowing me down <3. I'll see you on the other side.
Love,
Corey

Do not worry, Hellsinker forgives you.

Haha don't worry, I feel the exact same way about not giving points to Hellsinker. It takes time but once you start to get into it, the game gets insane. For those who absolutely love the "learning" experience, Hellsinker gives you a variety of characters to use that each take time to master. You could 1CC the game with one character and barely do it with another.
I remember playing Hellsinker back in December and not liking the cryptic mechanics and avoiding the game until sometime in May where I started giving it a chance. Sometime later in June, I finally managed to 1CC the game after playing regularly each day. One of the better things about this game is that even if you're stuck at a certain part, playing through the game to get back to that part never gets boring (at least for me); I still always get chills during Segment 3 LEAD.

Thought this was gonna be a thread about enjoying The Monkey King on the Wii.
Making an action platformer with a transforming grappling hook: ChainStaff. Also made a shmup with multi-ships: Shoot 1UP DX, and more .

Hey if Monkey King is your thing, there's always Saint and Ocean Commander.

Yeah Segment 3 LEAD is fantastic. And the Shrine of Farewell! Ugh what a strangely great idea for a level. AND THE DRAGON. I should stop.SuperSoaker360 wrote:Haha don't worry, I feel the exact same way about not giving points to Hellsinker. It takes time but once you start to get into it, the game gets insane.
