The Sega CD 32X Thread!

I have a 32x and a CD but have never felt the awesome power that I presume comes from combining them! What are everyone's favorite Sega CD 32X games? I'm thinking an updated Surgical Strike is just what I need.

The 32X is a neat little system and the CD addon just adds to the 32-bit intensity. You just have to look beyond the cliched criticisms and dig a little deeper into the library.

32x: Kolibri! Best game around. If you love hummingbirds.
Blackthorne - kinda makes the titular character look like Sloth from The Goonies, but it's got an extra scenario within.
Knuckles Chaotix - I don't really care, but if you love Sonic, look within.
Tempo - Tempo makes me feel kinda weird. He's got too much groovin' attitude, just like Sonic, Ristar, Bubsy, etc for me to take. But it plays alright, I suppose.

I've been looking for a sega CD for a while, I havent found anything even remotely cheap. even broken sega cds are expensive..

Not sure if its appropriate, but for anyone that wants to try out some Sega CD games before making the plunge into hardware, the Wii can emulate it 100% now, and even has that sweet 240p output.

Is Soul Star on the Sega CD any good? It's very pretty from Youtube videos, looks a bit like the arcade Galaxy Force II. Lots of very sexy scaling.

I like Shadow Squadron on the 32X, it's very nice. Much better than Star Wars Arcade to me. Has a reputation for crashing though, although I personally haven't encountered that.

Chaotix is an okay game. It's too blatantly unfinished though, the level design is all over the place. Extremely pretty, like an even more overdone version of Sonic CD's visuals. Loads of people seem to hate that, but I never really had a problem with it. The rubberband control is really neat, and once you get used to it, it feels very nice. Playing with Charmy as your lead character make the game too easy and boring, because you end up just flying to the top of the stage and checking the far left or right for the goal post. Charmy can fly forever, and attacks while doing his flight dashes. I always played as Knuckles, his speed and maneuverability felt right.
The special stages are annoying, but look pretty neat. Less annoying than Sonic 3's.

Corpse Killer RULES. I sadly only have the Saturn port. I love when the zombie bodies just fly at the screen, or the thug zombies just kinda chill across. Fuckin' Tom Zito.

Whoa, didn't know there was a Saturn version. Actually didn't know DP survived that long! Zito really didn't mince words, haha. Dissed Zelda and DOOM like a real hardass while bigging up the FMV. I wonder where he ended up? Looked for info a while back and couldn't find anything.
