Bandai bought Namco?!.....

The manager of Game Crazy near my house mentioned this last week-is this true? I certainly hope not, considering that someone on this site said that Bandai is Japan's EA! Otherwise, there goes the neighborhood on Namco's classic franchises, maybe others!

For the love of the almighty, please stop using Game Crazy as your source--use Gamestop. These guys know their shitz, literally.

As for the merger, it seems to be true since I saw some "Namco-Bandai" booth babes or something like that.

Well that's the first place I heard it, and regardless of where I heard it first, I would want to double check on a site like this.

At any rate, if Bandai is indeeed "Japan's EA" then color me worried!

Um, this merger was announced months ago. The merger date is on 9/29 so they haven't merged just yet.

Didn't know that; but it maybe good news that it's just a merger and not a total buy-out. Let's hope Namco doesn't get smothered by this, so to speak!

I heard Square and Enix were merging yesterday. Now Taito is in the mix? Crazy.

And someone said something about Sega and Sammy... but thats just ridiculous.
