Favorite screenname of a Shmups member

Post by PaCrappa »

I just saw "Plasmo" was browsing on shmups chat forum and I thought, "Now that is a dopeass username".

I'm sure I'll have more later. What are your favorites? Tell us why if you want. Also, if you want to say what are the dumbest names, you can. It won't hurt my feelings ;)

Same here. Everytime I see the name I seem to suffer from a mild case of temporary dyslexia. :?

I thought that was the joke. It was supposed to sound like "shit face".

BulletMagnet.

Shatterhand sounds cool too though. Inspires the mental image of someone being hauled to the E.R. due to shmupping a bit TOO much.... ;)

Shiftace gets a vote from me too. It's a genius nickname. Too good not to be intentional.

Perverted names are always the funniest to me. I saw someone calling himself "8 1/2" for instance.

That never even occurred to me.......

No_not_like_Quake I like also... is this what we have to say each time we explain that we play "old-school shooters"?

Plasmo is far and away the best user. Let alone how cool his name is.

Did you know he holds the world record in the game Jetpac?

I think of Plasmo as that batman-wannabe-like guy in a PS1 game.

now iatneH, on the other hand... XD.

Bah. I like Mad Steel Darkness, it sounds all macho & freaky, but with a touch of dada. And Batsugun is cool.

LOL. 8 1/2 is the name of a novel, IIRC. It has nothing to do with any body part.

I saw Titus Andronicus when he first joined the forum, and I thought it sounded pretty cool. Heard that name in an Evangelion Episode, when Asuka first shows up.

I like Shatterhand also. It makes me think of Fist of the North Star instead of the old game... and it sounds bitchin'.

LOL, back in the olden days of this forum I would just use a different user name every day. So when I registered for GameGo! "PaCrappa" was going to be screenname for a day but I was permanently registered that way. I will never use a different name at a videogame message board.

TWITCHDOCTOR is my all time fave. Best name ever.

My new one at this one music message board is "Thelonius Crunk".

I thought "Liverthief" looked quite funny...
For some reason I consider it very suitable name for a cat!

1. Shitfa- er, Shiftace
2. captain ahar
3. My own screenname (Icecap Veiwin), for the sole reason that it is the ONLY unique username these days, I think.

Wow. Until you mentioned that, I never noticed that it wasn't "shitface."

I like Bal-Sagoth, as it sounds all H.P. Lovecraft-ian.

Hehe, it's the name of a brilliant band who derive some of their inspiration from Lovecraft. The name itself comes from a book by Robert E. Howard, called "The Gods of Bal-Sagoth". I think Howard and Lovecraft were in constant correspondence, and often shared these obscure names with each other and let one another use them freely in their literature.

I always get a good laugh when I see landshark on the forum.

Lady: "Who is it?"

Landshark: "Plumber."

Lady: "I didn't hire a plumber. Who is it!?"

Landshark: "Flowers."

Lady: "What... for who?"

Landshark: "Plumber"

Lady:"... you're... that crazy shark aren't you?''

Landshark: " No maam, I am just a dolphin, will you let me in please?"

Lady: "A dolphin! Ok!"

SNL used to be so much better...

LOL, just a few weeks ago there was like a page's worth of drama because I thought the same thing. And I wanted to milk many jokes before I let up.

I thought Shatterhand was an NES game though, so I always imagined some pixelated dude punching things...

I don't why "BIG" has some kind of charm to it. It's short and simple, and allows for catchy Trading Station topics like "BIG sale"

ShatterHand is an NES game. Its actually VERY good. One of the best action platformers ever!
Right up there with Batman and Ninja Gaiden 1-3.
