Best Buy selling 360 Forza Horizon for $34.99 today...

Post by PC Engine Fan X! »

Went down to my local Best Buy & inquired if the Black Friday 360 game of Forza Horizon priced at $34.99 was still on sale today. The BB associate checked on the computer kiosk & sure enough, it was still listed at the lower $34.99 asking price. It's normally a $59.99 priced racing game.

Gamestop was selling FH for $39.99 yesterday on Black Friday (as a one day deal) but you can get a better deal at BB by saving an extra $5.00 more today. After the end of today, it'll go back to it's original MSRP indeed.

Well, let's just say the game hasn't been as popular as expected. $35 is good but the best deal for Forza Horizon this week is at the Microsoft Store for $15: http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/mss ... .258471400

Wow, that $14.99 pricetag is even better. Tried out the FH demo version with the 360 2.4GHz-based wireless Speed Wheel & it works like a charm.

It'd sure be nice if Logitech were to release another 360-based force-feedback steering wheel given the number of racing games available for it. The Logitech 360 Drive FX steering wheel combo was a short-lived item with it's debut back in 2006 and hasn't seen an upgraded update since then.

Much better wheels, from my experience.
PS3/360 compatibility makes them a much better value than purchasing two separate wheels.

Which Fanatec wheel is recommended (given the base price is $179.99 & up)? I do have both a PS3 & 360, so dual compatibility would be ace in my book.

Back in 2007, I was trying out a PC based Nascar racing sim at the Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, CA and noticed that it sported a Logitech wheel/gas/brake pedal setup -- it was called the Virtual GT Pro. Each driving booth was linked up to five other booths for some crazy six-player racing. It was a blast to be racing against complete strangers.

Has Fanatec gotten over its quality control issues? I've thought a few times about getting a Fanatec wheel over the past few years, especially now with the Porsche GT2 wheel back, but all the complaints about nonworking parts have kept me away.

Anyway, for anyone on the fence about Forza Horizon, I'd encourage you to watch some vids. I pre-ordered the LCE as I do for all Forza games and don't regret the purchase, but the game is very different from the other Forza games for better or worse.

What extras does the Limited Collector's Edition of FH have compared to the basic $59.99 version of the same name?

On a related note, I've noticed that SCEA has dropped the price of it's PS3 racing game of Gran Turismo 5 XL to a bargin price of $19.99 nowdays.

A bunch of DLC and a steelbook case. For non-diehard fans, it's definitely not worth the added cost, especially when previous Forza LCEs offered physical bonuses.

Oh I see. I did buy the LCE version of Forza Motorsport 4 at the asking MSRP of $79.99 & found it to be well worth it.
