Decided to give the free game a whirl (since it's free).
Shit's pretty hype, anyone else playing and want to team up? No idea how to find people though.

56k warning (lol): The initial download is at least 20GB.
Related but unrelated: Why can't they make a Star Wars movie like this? The opening cutscenes fucking blew my mind. They even got good ol' Johnny D doing voice over. lol Bender

Nothing will drag me away from Star Trek Online.

This is pretty much the death blow for pay to play. If the most expensive MMO project ever produced, with a massive IP and a massive game franchise behind it can't succeed with it, jack shit will be able to.*
On that note, I'm looking forward to The Secret World going free to play soon. The company says no, but us scientologists know it's gonna happen soon.
I just don't know why they bother to gimp and hobble free accounts. The website for their games sounds too much like the features you don't get, rather than trying to upsell the game on its merits.
* If you'd rather be in denial, I guess an argument could be made for this being another Sim's Online debacle - no one cares about playing their single player movie online.

PSX Vita: Slightly more popular than Color TV-Game system. Almost as successful as the Wii U.

Honestly, Star Wars is not really that interesting anymore. The original trilogy had a really nice mix of well-rounded characters, but now it's all JEDI JEDI JEDI SUPER AWESOME JEDI FLIPPING IN THE AIR LIKE NINJA ACROBATS JEDI JEDI AND USING SUPERPOWERS JEDI JEDI JEDI JEDI JEDI. Is it any surprise that many old fans have stopped giving a fuck?

Hey great lots of people that want to play this awesome game with me!

Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic now F2P!
I was in the Beta and learned I don't want to play it. Frankly I don't think there are a lot of MMO players on here.
